We just finished a fantastic 6 night stay at the Tomtom during our visit to Istanbul. Our room was spacious and very well appointed; there was also nightly turndown service. As others have mentioned, the staff are topnotch and the evening desk manager, Nural, deserves special mention. He is a genuine, enthusiastic host who helped orient us to the city via his hand-drawn maps and his excellent restaurant recommendations. Tomtom Suites is lucky to have him.

The large breakfast selection is amazing and will take days for you to sample everything. The homemade preserves were a particular favorite. In the evening, the 4th floor dining area is transformed into their top tier restaurant, Nicole. The food and wine pairings were excellent. The service matched the food, and our waiter gave detailed descriptions of each course as it was served.

We had a very early departure on our last night…3:30 am; yet between Nural and the overnight desk manager, they arranged prompt transportation via a city taxi (with no traffic it cost me 55TL including tip) AND a pre-packed breakfast for us to take on our travels.

All in all, it was a wonderful stay and a comfortable base camp after returning from long days of exploring the city.

Room Tip: Room 32 is a corner deluxe suite with beautiful views.

We were a party of 14 work colleagues staying at the Tomtom for a 4 day break in Istanbul. The rooms were very spacious, bathrooms fantastic and hotel staff could not be more accommodating. There were no issues checking us all in and we all soon settled into our rooms quickly. The hotel manager, Nural was a god send. On arrival he had already hand drawn maps for us so we could get a better understanding of all the places to visit in Istanbul and what direction / tram we needed to take to get there, he sat down with us answering questions and helped us plan an itinerary so we could fit in as much sightseeing as possible during our stay - whilst serving us all complimentary drinks, a very pleasant welcoming surprise for us all. He also recommended and booked all our restaurants for dinner during our stay and they were all within walking distance from the hotel. All his recommendations were fantastic, the food was always good and the restaurant staff were waiting for us and made us all feel welcome. I think every hotel should have a Nural!! All the hotel staff were polite and couldn't do enough for our large group.

Breakfast was a selection of hot & cold and the staff would cook eggs any way you wanted each morning. The fruit and yogurts were also amazing as was the view over the river and Sultanahmet in the distance.

I would recommend this hotel for many reasons, location, service, cleanliness but most of all for Nural and his staff.

Room Tip: My room was rather hot especially the bathroom as it had under floor heating, ask for the underfloor...

This is a luxurious and beautifully tasteful hotel in a quiet location. It provides a marvellous base for a holiday in this exciting city. Our room was lovely, being large even for the three of us, with the elegant high ceiling, huge bed and beautifully fitted marble bathroom. The restaurant Nicole serves really fine food, superbly presented and with very orginal flavour combinations.
An exceptional feature is the friendly, considerate and helpful customer service. We received a very thoughtful and thorough initial briefing from Alican and then thoughout our six day stay a series of great suggestions from Nural for other restaurants and activities.

Room Tip: The superior suites are really huge

Its the greatest hotel I've stayed in, in Istanbul. Rooms are perfect, food is great and staff are so friendly and helpful. The thing i didn't like is the location which is secure cause of the italian consulate. But it's making the hotel more safe.

This is one of the most memorable, lovely hotels I've ever stayed in.

The room was beautiful, spacious, perfectly clean, and extremely quiet and comfortable. The bathroom is enormous and was fitted with double sinks, a Jacuzzi, and a range of Molton Brown toiletries. The housekeeping staff is excellent and every evening we were supplied with bottles of water and chocolates.

The hotel is situated in the hilly bit of the city- which had its perks! We ate at on the top floor restaurant on our second night and were blown away by the spectacular view of the old city from across the water.

The concierge was beyond helpful, kind, and gave us the most perfect recommendations for restaurants and drew us a map of the area around the hotel so we were able to hit the site-seeing as soon as we arrived. They also prepared us breakfast and sandwiches to take on the plane when we left early to catch our flight back to London.

It's an ideal hotel for couples, but based on how spacious the rooms are, I could see it being just fine for families with older children.

Do yourself a favor and make this your home-away-from-home for a Turkey trip.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a Jacuzzi! It's like having an in-room spa. Brilliant after a day site-see...

Like you, I contemplated this and many other hotels while deciding where to stay on a recent 3-night visit to Istanbul. If only I'd known what a waste of my time it was to even look at other options... So, please learn from my mistake and just book already. This was one of, if not the best, hotels my husband and I have stayed in and the rate made it even better! Accommodations are 5-star, location is convenient and quiet, and the service was exceptional. The breakfast upstairs is delicious! They have the most amazing homemade raspberry yogurt I've ever had.

As my husband will attest, I have high expectations, but we weren't disappointed in anything while here.
