“Great location”
Reviewed 12 May 2013

We really liked this little hotel. We were a little concerned because we had read the reviews talking about how small the rooms were, but we found them very comfortable and definitely clean. We had a double room on the second floor facing the street with a very small balcony. The street is really small so the noise was never a problem and we loved watching out the window at all the activity. And once we closed the windows the noise disappeared.
This hotel is in the perfect location, so close to everything and the tram stops 1 block down the street. Our first week in Istanbul we stayed in the Sultanahmet district and when we returned we decided to stay in Sirkeci and we actually liked the feel in Sirkeci quite a bit better. It's lively and colorful and within walking distance to everything.
The main reason I didn't give them 5 stars is due to the staff. We never really found anyone there who was overly friendly and when asked a simple question, such as "is there a coffee shop near", they looked at us like we were from Mars. Also, the breakfast was definitely the weakest of our trip. Internet didn't work anywhere above the ground floor.
All in all we really liked this hotel and would probably stay here again. Great value!

As others have said rooms are on small side but with a location right in the centre of old city, it is to be expected, but OK.
Room clean, bed was comfortable, window opened for air.
Usual city centre noise but not excessive, we were 2nd floor at front.
Couldn't make TV work - looks like entire system needed replacing (but probably only Turkish channels).
Wi-Fi - free but slow - think dial-up, just about OK if you are not on business.
Good breakfast - large Turkish choice.
No restaurant but loads within a stones throw.
Easy to get to, from Attaturk Airport take a (3TL) metro and then a Tram (3TL) to Gohane and you are there.

This place was great value for money, was in an excellent location close to all the best bits this city has to offer, the room was clean and comfortable only thing wrong really was a water mark on the ceiling, but apart from that was great. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The breakfast wasnt to my taste but since eating out is so cheap i didn't mind. Would strongly recommend this place

Booked this hotel in April for a double bed n single bed. On arrival they also showed me a triple room which was spacier to allow for my luggage. Although this room was 2 floors above where the lift stopped, I took it.
The hotel staff have been absolutely amazing. Both reception staff speak English and gave been very helpful in guiding us on our outings around Istanbul. The breakfast staff have been very helpful catering for the needs of our children. Best of all are the room service staff. The kind old man says hello to the children every time he sees them, sometimes has sweets for them and he has EXCELLED in the service he has provided us daily. We have sufficient towels, clean bedding and bathroom accessories. When my daughter threw up at midnight, he was very quick to change the bedsheets and provide a replacement duvet.
The view from my window is beautiful, I can see the Hagha Sophia. And the location of the hotel is perfect. Gulhane tramway is at the end of the street, Sirkeci station and Eminonu are only a 5 min walk away. Topkapi museum, Hagha Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Sultanahmet Camii, Sultanahmet and the Grand Bazaar are maximum 10 min walk away or a short tram stop away.
I will definitely be back at this hotel on my next visit to Istanbul.

As I was very pleased with my stay at Sirkeci Park Hotel in July, I did not hesitate to book a room there one more time. And I did not regret my pick for a second! The room was nice and tidy,The breakfast had a great selection. The staff was friendly and attentive. Being served tea and engaged in good conversations was a norm. And the location was perfect! Located between Sultanahmed and Eminönü, and having both tram and train stations nearby, it was very easy to go anywhere in Istanbul.

The location is everything in this place, otherwise the room was really too small. I don't mind living in a small room especially when travelling alone, but I would appreciate to be able to at least open my luggage on the floor. The room was however tidy and was cleaned every day, and the WiFi worked well in the lobby (occasionally in the room). The service was ok, however the staff's English could've been a bit better. The breakfast did its job, nothing special but will get your day started.

Dear Valued Guest,

First of all, we thank you for your nice comment and thanks for your complaints.
But you compare hotel room with Eurepean hotels. Sirkecipark Hotel is in Sirkeci, old city. Sirkecipark hotel building is a historical building as many hotels in this area. Government do not permit to disturb original walls when making a hotel. So rooms are not too large in hotels in Sirkecipark area.

We consider all the compliants as a present and take necessary precautions not to meet with same problem again, for the sake of our guests

Best Regards,

Hotel Sirkecipark

I walked in to the hotel with my wife and son, having reserved a triple bedroom a few months earlier to find that there was no room available and they gave us a two double bedrooms. This was not good as the rooms were too small that you could hardly walk in. there is 50 cm space to the side. The second day they offered me the triple bedroom . The room standard is very poor; the sink tap is not fixed, painting has come off long time ago with no effort to repaint it, the minibar is not working, the room itself is in the fifth floor and the lift goes only to the fourth floor and you have to use the stairs to get to the room. This should not be a problem if the stairs are well designed; they are very dangerous to use. They said that breakfast is served between 7:30 and 10:30, so we turned up at 9:30 to find that there was not much food left and they did not bother to top up the food. The following days I had to get up early at 8:30 to get some food which was very inconvenient as you go out at night and come back late. The WiFi worked only in the second floor where the router was placed but not in the fifth floor where we later stayed. The receptionists and catering are smiling and polite but the managers ( I think the owners of the hotel) were there all the time but I am afraid not to look after guests

Room Tip: Please avoid this hotel if you can
