I stayed here for four nights in May 2011 with friends. The location is exceptional, especially when the roadwork outside the hotel will be completed : less than a ten minute walk from Sainte-Sophie. The staff is extremely pleasant and eager to be helpful. Room was modern, quiet and very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotellino. The owner was so helpful with great suggestions on where to go and what to see. Really took an interest in helping us to see the best of Istanbul. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful during our stay.
The hotel is very modern but with a very warm, comfortable feel to it. Breakfast was great and the bar was fun for drinks later in the day. Rooms were well appointed and the robes & slippers were a nice added touch. The free water and internet was very thoughtful.
Thanks Hotellino for making our trip to Istanbul so special.

We came in the early morning after night flight with our child. In spite of that they gave as room straight away. Room very modern and very clean. Breakfast was good, small choice but made with good products. Again restaurant was nice and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.I spoke with the owner and he was a nice guy. It was difficult to find the hotel, consider that is laid in the narrow street and its such a busy area.I would definitely back to Hotellino again.

An ideal hotel for the independent traveller within easy walking distance of Topkaki Palace, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, Basilica Cisterns, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar and the tram stop, train station and Bosphorus are only a few minutes walk away.

The staff were great and the owners were helpful in planning your days activities.
I would recommend this hotel and would use it again. A nice touch on my leaving was to be given a pack of Turkish coffee with instructions on how to make.

We are just back from a 4 days 4 nights stay in Istanbul and we loved it.
The Hotel Hotellino we found through TripAdvisor, of course, and it was great. We like small modern hotels, and this hotel is among the best. We arrived late – even early; at 02.00 – as flights from Europe to the Middle East can have horrible schedules, but no problem. I had send an email the day before and got a reply then in one minute: you are welcome and we are waiting for you. Yes, they were, very friendly, and the check-in only took a signature and the making of passport-copies. 3 Minutes!
Our room was ample for 2 persons with very good beds – we do not like them too soft – perfect bathroom with toilet, tub, shower, many towels and sundry. Good sound-insulation and heating. Plus airco, but we did not have to use that. Free Wifi (with log-in) in room and lobby. Enough wall sockets for your appliances.
The breakfast is plentiful for such a small place. No bacon, but that we do not need. Lots of fruits, cereals, condiments, good coffee, breads, cheese, the lot. Served until a comfortable 10:30h.
The staff is super friendly and speaks excellent English, with no exceptions. Everyday a breakfast a friendly good morning with a welcoming chat and questions what we were planning and if we needed any help. But had we wished for a silent breakfast that would have been no problem as well.
The location is as central as can be, with most big attractions – an uncool term for such world-class sites – in very close by walking distance. Tramway close by as well and a trip to restaurant and shopping district Beyoglu is fun. Boottrips closeby, Turkish baths almost around the corner, take your pick.
Taxi to the airport when we left was arrived in 5 minutes, and we got two nice complimentary bags with Turkish coffee from the hotels-staff.
In all we felt welcome and safe – also at night - in Istanbul’s streets, without any hassle from vendors or touts.
