“Functional but Soulless”
Reviewed 16 June 2012

It's a decent but a bit soulless business hotel. They try to soften their "corporate" functional image by adding nice and quirky touches - elegant sweets in the reception area, an elevator video, in-room CD with lullabies. You get pretty much everything you need (for example, an adapter for a laptop charger.) The bed was comfortable, and Wi-Fi smooth. With an executive suite, they offer to launder 3 pieces of clothing for free. A buffet breakfast is pretty good although a choice of fresh fruit is quite limited. Service is good except for waiting staff. At breakfast you have to chase after a waiter to get coffee and and chase again if you want a refill. (In room there is only instant coffee, which I consider an abomination; even some budget hotels offer filtered in-room coffee these days.) It is even worse when you have a private breakfast with a group of people. The choice is extremely limited compared to the buffet breakfast and waiters panic. In my case, in a group of about two dozen people, some got plates with cheese but little or no bread and rolls, and others bread but no cheese. When I asked for more cheese, the waiter moved it from other part of the table instead of bringing more. Coffee ran out almost immediately and we have to wait for more.

You can go there for business or with the family, I could see both of them there.
Unfortunately i could not "taste" the pool.
But I could play on the videogmaes floor, (-1 floor), they have a bif floor just intended for playing with Playstation , etc .....
Breaksfast is on the 11th floor,
Rooms are quite fine, but do request to have one around the 8th or 9th floor, to have views to the city.
One problem is that they took away the bathrobe and did not bring a new one, so up to three nights I had to request for a "new" one.

We stayed here for 1 night before our Turkey tour. It is an excellent hotel with spacious modern rooms with all the accessories that you need from a hotel. The bed was lovely to sleep on and the entire hotel was very clean.
The WiFi was free (well for us it was) and worked well, browsing at an acceptable rate.
Breakfast is on 18th floor with a great view of Istanbul and had a good variety of food.
All the staff were professional and helpful when needed.
Would recommend this hotel for any traveller.

I have the best impressions for this hotel, stylish, modern, clean, rooms are phenomenal, spacious, furnished quite expensive, shower cabin is so comfortable, the breakfast buffet is on 18th floor with a breathtaking view of Istanbul and great variety of food.
Don't miss the spa center, back massage in the Jacuzzi was my favorite after an exhausting day in the office.
Sauna, Turkish hamam, steam bath, fitness center, swimming pool are some of the other options.
Wifi network was stable, which is not the case in other hotels.
Staff was very kind and very professional.
Prices are affordable.
I read the comments of other guests of the hotel and i disagree bad comments about location- everything in Istanbul is far away, it takes a lot of time from one point to another and Point hotel is just 3 metro stations from Taksim.
Definitely worth the price!

I stayed for 4 days for business. As a business hotel, the Point is excellent. Outstanding executive lounge, very good internet connection, excellent fitness center. There is a very good pizza restaurant attached to the hote. Breakfast, included in my stay, was 4-star, complete with fresh honeycomb. Room was comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful. May not be the best hotel for tourist, as it is bit far from Taksim and the major tourist areas. But for my purposes, I would absolutely stay again.

This hotel is very close to the Gayrettepe business center, walking distance to Maya Towers and the metro. However at night there is not much to do around, you need to take a short cab ride. Rooms were clean, personnel was polite. It looks like a good convention/conference place. Oner Ayan

a fair distance from anything touristy, and close to some really busy roads, this hotel is ok, but not great. rooms nicely designed, but towels are threadbare, and couches quite stained. sadly i also got food poisoning from room service one night and spent the night throwing up..... also, if you are a non smoker you will get stuck in a room with two small single beds (i was with five colleagues, all non smokers, and we all had these tiny uncomfortable beds).....
