“Not what it used to be”
Reviewed 4 August 2012

I came back to this hotel after two years of my first visit. I was dissapointed. Even it's not at all centrally located this used to be for me one of the best hotels in town but that's all gone and only the high room rates stayed. The quality hotel that used to be was gone and I had many problems with the room like really bad smell in the toilets, not proper working AC, poor food quality at the business lounge. If you are looking for a high quality service I recommend you look for other places that are recently constructed like the new Divan hotel in Taksim

Room Tip: Higher floor have better view and less noise

My mother always said "íf you don't have something positive to say then don't say anything'', but then again I don't much listen to my mother any more.

I had a poor experience at check in, reservation dates mixed up, a wait of three hours for a room to be available etc. but you get used to these things. The staff were friendly, although it was hard to find anyone in the breakfast area who spoke English, and the rooms were clean and basic.
As a business hotel it is functional but nothing special.

Average, in a way that stirs almost no emotion once you have left.

Room Tip: Sorry, I have no clue

The service at the front desk is incredibly rude and unhelpful. All rooms reek of smoke, even when requesting non smoking room. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

This hotel describes itself as five star. Some thing are very good - people are attentive and friendly, food is very good, nice TV in the room (only one channel i can understand though), wifi is free; but the hotel lets itself down with small irritants - like there isn't an iron and ironing board in the room - this is pretty standard equipment for a business hotel - there aren't enough hangers in the wardrobe and they are those irritating hook things that fall out because they are worn. Housekeeping doesn't repleninsh the coffee supplies unless you ask them to. There's a stain on the duvet. Wall are thin and you here all the plumbing in other rooms. You get the idea.
There's nohting much to see out of the window except a half finished office building and lots of traffic
Bed was comfortable and the shower was good - which is normally the main way I judge a business trip hotel, so it gets 3 stars from me for that, but I won't stay here again unless I have to (sorry).

This hotel does everything it needs to do very well. Contemporary rooms, excellent service (ironing, shoe shine, etc), and a very nice breakfast with good views. Nice little local touches at night: nuts, gifts, etc on the pillow with Turkish cultural information. My side of the hotel did not have spectacular views, but it wasn't bad. Centrally located, which is good because the traffic in Istanbul is always a problem. I was on business but would consider bringing my family, depending on price of hotels closer to the Bosphorus. Recommended for business travellers for sure.

It's a decent but a bit soulless business hotel. They try to soften their "corporate" functional image by adding nice and quirky touches - elegant sweets in the reception area, an elevator video, in-room CD with lullabies. You get pretty much everything you need (for example, an adapter for a laptop charger.) The bed was comfortable, and Wi-Fi smooth. With an executive suite, they offer to launder 3 pieces of clothing for free. A buffet breakfast is pretty good although a choice of fresh fruit is quite limited. Service is good except for waiting staff. At breakfast you have to chase after a waiter to get coffee and and chase again if you want a refill. (In room there is only instant coffee, which I consider an abomination; even some budget hotels offer filtered in-room coffee these days.) It is even worse when you have a private breakfast with a group of people. The choice is extremely limited compared to the buffet breakfast and waiters panic. In my case, in a group of about two dozen people, some got plates with cheese but little or no bread and rolls, and others bread but no cheese. When I asked for more cheese, the waiter moved it from other part of the table instead of bringing more. Coffee ran out almost immediately and we have to wait for more.

You can go there for business or with the family, I could see both of them there.
Unfortunately i could not "taste" the pool.
But I could play on the videogmaes floor, (-1 floor), they have a bif floor just intended for playing with Playstation , etc .....
Breaksfast is on the 11th floor,
Rooms are quite fine, but do request to have one around the 8th or 9th floor, to have views to the city.
One problem is that they took away the bathrobe and did not bring a new one, so up to three nights I had to request for a "new" one.
