Agora Life Hotel is close to main downtown attractions. The hotel staff is extremely friendly, giving all information we need. As promised and “advertised”, the view from our window was great. We could see Hagia Sophia and the sunrise over it was special.

We’ve been to some restaurants with beautiful views, but the view from the terrace was the best in town. At night, we just took a bottle of wine and some cheese to the terrace.

The breakfast is OK. It could be better compared to other hotel we’ve been in Turkey. Bedroom is really tiny, but if as we were there just to sleep… it is OK. Our neighbors were quiet, otherwise… it is possible to listen everything from other rooms.

We recommend!

My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Agora Life Hotel for one week. If we return to Istanbul, we will definitely stay there again. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and great to work with. It is on a quiet street in the heart of the historic part of the city.
The breakfasts are delicious. The terrace on the fifth floor roof has a view of the city that is amazing! I happily rate this with 5 stars!

We highly recommend this gem of a hotel - small, personal, excellently managed and very well run. The rooms are lovely, quiet and comfortable, the buffet breakfasts offer plentiful choices, the staff, very attentive, but the roof top terrace - oh the rooftop terrace! From the roof we would start our mornings with coffee, and end up there in the evening with a bottle of wine. The hotel is located in the center of the old city, walking distance to all major sites, but is located on a quiet back street in a safe and vibrant area. The rooftop offered us a unique perspective of the entire city - impressively beautiful views in every direction! This is a great way to experience Istanbul, you will not be disappointed!

This hotel is one of the best I have been. I was here with my aunt. The hotel is located ideally, a lot of sightseeing places, the big bazaar, but also cute nice restaurants. The hotel staff were lovely, they helped us out with everything we asked.

The hotel is gorgeous, nice light rooms, an awesome rooftop terras and absolutely delicious breakfast.

I am going to recommend this hotel to everyone who is going to Istanbul that I know.

Hope to see you soon Agora Life Hotel!!

I spend 4 terrific days in Istanbul with my niece. Agora Life Hotel made our trip just perfect. We had a nice and light room, with a good bathroom. Breakfast was very complete. They have a magnificent roofterrace with view over Istabul. We had our breakfast here every morning, but we also used it to relax and see Istanbul by night after a long day of sight seeing. The hotelmanager Kadir gave us a warm welcome, a lot of good suggestions and arranged a little party on national day for the guests to see the fireworks from the terrace. The hotel is within a few minutes walk to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosk and the Grand Bazar. It is located in a quiet street and you do not here the mosk. There are also nice restaurants and hamam in the neighbourhood. The hotelowner and his staff are very friendly and will did everything to make our stay perfect.

We spent 3 nights at the Agora Life. It already has a certificate of excellence from Trip Advisor and our experience certainly justified that. The room was everything one might require – spacious, light and comfortable and everything worked. The breakfasts were great. The manager was a lovely man and extremely helpful. The hotel has a terrace with a magnificent view of the Golden Horn and on Independence day the owner laid on food and wine on the terrace so that guests could watch the fantastic fireworks display on the bridge. The only negative is that breakfast is served in the basement room which is rather dingy. However most people took a tray up to the terrace though we had to discover this ourselves. The hotel is close to all the major attractions in the old city and made for a great experience in Istanbul.

2 miserable nights. Very small lobby with busy reception--they would be wise to close the open door to the busy street t make the small area peaceful.Tiny "deluxe?double"--no place for our suitcases; no sitting area; unlit small desk with no power outlet for computer;feeble wall air conditioner which would never be adequate in hot weather--air intake filthy; poor sound proofing; view to a trash filled alley.Poorly lit bathroom with broken toilet tissue holder & very dangerous hand held shower head which could easily fall on your foot.Taking a shower was a challange. Poor breakfast quality: awful coffee, pastries and food not fresh. Great views from roof terrace, spoiled by dirty dishes piled up. Gave me complimentary airport transfer because my pick up(arranged by hotel) was 45 minutes late. Wouldn't stay here again even if it was free!

Dear Guest,

We value any feedfack given for Agora Life. All reviews written for our hotel has been analyzed seriously by hotel management and each of review helped to fix missing points.

We found above review helpful at some points but unfair in many way too.

Istanbul is city of 17 millions people. It makes hard to be on time sometimes. We arranged a pickup for guests and there was delay of 15 minutes not 45 due havy traffic in city. The transfer has not been charged as per guest request and it is not been offered as the guest says.
The guests arrived by two different flights and both was not charged as per request. We even been informed by guest that guest has account for Tripadvisor and thet choosen hotel from Tripadvisor. That was a message tried to given us actually.

The guest booked a deluxe double room for two nights. This type of rooms offer view to Saint Sophia Museum or Bosphorus. Those rooms are about 20 square meters including bathroom. There is a small table with chair with reading lamp, set of plug socket for computer or other devices that can be recharged.

The guest reserved one of this room and given a room with Saint Sophia Museum view. This room offers equipment that described above together with daily changed lines, first quality toiletress, bathrobes, slippers. The room has flat screen TV with all international channels, safety deposit box, minibar and individual controlled AC. Air condition system is provided by Arcelik company whic is one of the best based in Turkey and the system maintenances by company twice a year. No body had complained for AC and it was not filthy too as the guest said.

Agora Life is located in the hearth of Sultanahmet surrounded by splendid monuments. What the guest mentioned " trash filled alley" is part of old city ( old buildings). Those buildings could be trash filled valley If you are not a from country that own thousands of years history or monuments.

We noticed that the guest was not prepared to stay in old city. As much as understood to staying in old city was wrong choose for our valued guest as he informed us that it was hes first time in Sultanahmet.

The guest has complained for furnishing in bathroom which is a big injustice. Agora Life hotel has been built in 2010 year, equipment used in bathroom ( tiles, shower equipment, etc.) are from world famous companies. Non of our guests has broken their legs, hads or it has been asked by some of the guests how to get them too.

Our guest complains for small lobby opens to a busy street. Would you expect a large lobby with bar desk, barmaids, barmens in a boutique hotel offers 16 bedrooms?

Facilities offered by hotel indicated on hundreds of web sites and it should not expected to have a large lobby.

We, as Agora Life Hotel value all constitutive opinions but do not agree with when said I would not stay even for free.

Thank you for your kind feedback and look forward to have guests who would respect history, world famous monuments and who would not say " trash filled alley"

Sincere regards,

Kadir Cikan
