İf you are in any side of İstanbul, you must arrange some time to spend on the shore to walk down some hours.Magnificent&breathtaking view fm both sides will take you away,You also have plenty of options on both parts to eat and drink at many kind of restaurants&cafes. You must also take one of the boats fm Kadıköy,Üsküdar,Eminönü or Beşiktaş for having some tours lasting a few hours to see the beautiful houses and villas on both sides.Strongly recommended.

a classic experience. this is the place where you could clearly feel best of eastern and western influences. during day time just keep strolling on the streets aimlessly and at late evening watch it from yatch. awesome experience. feel the meeting place of east and west

The Bosphorus Strait is a must-see in Istanbul, absolutely astounding in its beauty. Do not buy a tour, though! Take the mass transit ferry from Eminonu to Kadikoy -- it's only 3 Turkish Lira per person ($1.5 USD, ~1 Euro), and it'll give you a beautiful view of Sultanahmet, the ships waiting to pass through, and both sides of the city in general.

Avoid Bosphorus tour hawkers near major attractions and take the public ferry. It was only 10 Lire each and tours on tape with headphones are available. Tea, coffee, and snacks all on board. Bring your camera to capture incredible sites.

One needs to take this cruise to really appreciate the 2 sides of Istanbul. Only when you are on the cruise , you can see the actual differences in the 2 banks of the strait
