Three families, 6 days in Istanbul. This hotel has far exceed our expectations. Perfect location, centrally situated but in a peaceful area, extremely helpful staff (Ferhat, Arthur and the rest of the team...thank you so much), excellent price/quality relationship. We strongly recommend Amira when visiting Istanbul.

Very good hotel, I was happy with my choice due to Tripadvisor’s evaluations:

Excellent location within walking distance to the main attractions (Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and Topkapi) and the restaurants area in Cemberlitas.

Very warm and courteous service at the reception, people always willing to help. When I booked they confirmed by email, were helpful with recommendations, and organized Airport pickup. When I checked in they offered a beverage and helped us with maps and touristic indications at the restaurant. They also sent an email after we checked out thanking us for the preference. Nice touch!

The only negative experience we had happened when they called a cabdriver that conned us. Not exactly a hotel fault, as tricky cabs seem to be an Istanbul institution. After that, they always came outside to talk to the driver and make sure we were to be driven to the right place with the right fare.

Room and bathroom were very good, clean, and the only negative point was the poor choice of TV channels. Complimentary WiFi connection was nice.

Very good breakfast.

Excellent price / performance.

The Amira is relatively new, and is one of the better botique hotels we have stayed in anywhere. Staff is superb. Excellent free breakfast buffet. Deluxe room we had was clean,
large, with nice bathroom. Great location two blocks from Blue Mosque, etc.
Good local restaurants (try Bukhara 93, 2 blocks away. Stay away from the ChangCheng Chinese rest. about 4-5 blocks away).
Note: There can be some annoying construction noise from a remodeling project
next door. Also, there will be the usual 5:30 AM call to prayer, which you cannot miss hearing for the first day or two.

Friendly staff, and excellent location. All the major sights are in walking distance, or anything else is easily accessible on the light rail. Only criticism is that the fitness centre is rather poor.

Our stay was a fantastic experience, made enjoyable by the excellent facilities at the Hotel but even more so by the wonderful staff. They were caring, knowledgeable, always smiling and approachable. Our first greeting at Reception and introduction to the Hotel was memorable - offered a drink, given a map with all the highlights to visit and arranged for a sandwich lunch - even before we got to our room.

The recommendations for where to see and eat were execllent as was the transport to the Airport.

Room Tip: Ask reception staff for recommendations

Lovely hotel, whereupon arrival we were taken to the restaurant for tea and cake to go through the tourist hi-lights in Istanbul. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. Luxury beds in the room. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We have just returned from 5 nights at the Amira Hotel in Istanbul, selecting the hotel from the excellent reviews it received on-line. Having started somewhat suspicious of such excellent ratings, I have to now admit that my skepticism was misplaced and that the Amira Hotel deserves top spot in the Istanbul hotel rankings.

The hotel is very comfortable with modern decor, tastefully implemented. Fixtures and fittings all worked and there was comendable attention to detail in the provision of tea/coffee making facilities and the various sundries provided in each hotel room. Wi-fi was excellent, as was the breakfast each morning.

All of this we have encountered in other hotels but the significant difference with the Amira was the quality of the hotel staff who were unfailingly helpful and polite, giving intelligent and considered responses to any and all of our queries. This they did without appearing overly anxious to please or obsequious.

We would certainly stay at the Amira again should we be fortunate enough to revisit Istanbul.
