“If I ever return to Istanbul - this is where I'm staying”
Reviewed 23 May 2014 via mobile

From start to finish, our stay at the Amira was fantastic.

The room was spotless with a really comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. Everything you'd expect to find was there.

Breakfast was very good but if I were to get really picky, the hot food could have been hotter. That said, the selection was good and varied day to day.

The roof terrace is definitely a lovely place to have a beer in the evening.

The best part about this place though - the staff. Without exception they were helpful and attentive without being over bearing.

I'm rubbish with names so the only one I can remember is Fatih. He met us on arrival and while we sipped on a drink he got the map out to give us a few pointers. A very valuable 10 minutes I can tell you.

I phoned them the day before we flew to arrange collection from the airport and we were met by a 34 seat coach for 2!

And by the way, 5 minutes to the Blue Mosque, another 5 to Agya Sofia and a further 5 to Topkapi. Brilliant!

As I said, if I ever return to Istanbul - this is where I'm staying.

Hotel Amira was ideally situated near the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and not too far from the Grand bazaar. The accommodation was excellent, the breakfasts were the best we experienced throughoutTurkey, and the staff were brilliant. We loved the happy hour and roof top lounge. We stayed in a suite which had its own balcony with good views of Marmara Sea. We have travelled a lot and I could not fault this hotel or the wonderful and helpful staff. Our next trip to Turkey will include a stay at Hotel Amira.

Room Tip: Consider a suite, you will not regret it.

We spend one fabulous night at this wonderful hotel. We loved the location- could walk to the Bazaar and Blue Mosque. The area was very charming and this hotel is on the cutest street. From the moment we entered the staff was so great. They even loaned us a cellular wifi for our walk to the bazaar so we could stay connected in case we needed it.
Our only regret is that we only had 1 day with them.
We even needed to ship some things home, and a UPS store is across the street. We will be back someday and stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a room with a terrace and a view to the harbor.

We travelled to Istanbul with a group of friends for a long weekend and we had a lovely stay at the Amira. The staff were so helpful and friendly and gave us a welcome drink and chat about the best places to see(we had already booked a couple of restaurants beforehand but if we hadn't there was reccomendations for them too)
As there were 9 people in our group they didn't hesitate to fix up a breakfast table for us in a small room next to the restaurant so we could eat together. The same applied when we were on the roof-garden having drinks - nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms were very comfortable with everything you need there - mini-bar,toiletries,safe,robes & slippers etc. Will definately be going back!

Room Tip: We were upgraded to a room with a balcony which was very nice but all the rooms that our friends had...

We arrived in Istanbul late March 2014 at 7am and staff organised a transfer from the airport. Our room was not ready but they were happy for us to use the bath and shower facilities in the spa area to freshen up supplying towels robes and toiletries. Once refreshed they supplied us with a great breakfast and map of the town and sent us on our way to explore. Everything is so close to the hotel and AJ helped us with directions and sites. Once we came back in the early afternoon our room was ready and we had been "Upgraded"..... What a way to start our 6 week holiday. Thank you again for the 2 nights and hopefully we will be back.

I was honestly blown away with the level of service at this hotel. I mean, the marriots and the crowne plazas of the world must learn service from this boutique hotel situated in the most perfect of locations in Istanbul.

The hotel manager and staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, from a half an our explanation of the things to do, places to visit and even advice on where not to hail a taxi, to providing us a wifi hotspot to carry along, so that we have access to google maps everywhere; they seem to have thought of everything.

They really live upto to their rating on Tripadvisor. I don't see why they aren't No.1 yet.

Like we told them before we left, for us, there is only one hotel in Istanbul and that is Hotel Amira.

A lovely hotel, with excellent staff . It´s walking distance to almost every place we wanted to visit, and the tram.
The hotel had all the amenities we needed and they were always trying to make your stay even better.
The rooms were excellent and so was breakfast. A perfect place to enjoy Istambul!!!
