As a frequent traveler ( business and leisure) I’ve stayed in many hotels but this one is a true gem! Perfectly located near all major attractions, yet on a quiet, cozy street where traffic will not effect a good night sleep.
The staff is out standing and will do anything to make you stay memorable, and the level of service is something I’ve never experienced anywhere before…..in one word magnificent!
Amira would classify as a lovely boutique hotel with a beautiful design, great beds, good food and you will not feel deprived of anything. All guests; couples, business travelers, families with children……everybody will feel welcome and at home.

We stayed in the Hotel Amira for four nights during our first trip to Istanbul. The hotel was a top choice. The hotel itself is a nice one (looks like just renovated), the location was a great one just a few hundred meters from e.g. blue moskey, and what is the most important thing: I have never met such a friendly atmosphere during my holiday trips. The personnel really cared about their guests and really did their best to make sure that our holiday would be as good as possible. As firsts timers in Istanbul it was really easy to get good tips for what to do etc, as well as it was enjoyable to relax in the hotel with this kind of service and atmosphere

I have used Tripadvisor for many years, but this is the first review I've actually wanted to write. When I first reserved this hotel, it was ranked 10th because, well, it hadn't been open for very long. But every one of the 15 reviewers raved about the place, and they were right. Because it's only been open for a short period of time, everything is NEW, from the bathtubs to the beds to the air conditioning. There is literally no wear and tear. Also, this is the first time in all my years of booking hotels online where the pictures on the hotel website are what the place actually looks like (unlike some hotels that basically post only their best looking, most expensive room complete with the benefit of good camera lighting and angles). What you see is actually what you get. This is a modern hotel, but it isn't a crazy modern hotel with an odd-shaped wicker basket plonked in the middle of your room just because it's "boutique"-y. The rooftop terrace is fantastic and totally chill. The front desk guys are so helpful and genuinely nice that you want to hug them after every interaction. Artur at the front desk especially was the best - he even recommended a restaurant where he threw his sister's engagement party. And the restaurant was great! Unlike many establishments in Turkey, you never feel like they are trying to sell you something you don't want or trying to pull one over on you. And free wireless, free wireless, free wireless. There are two minor detractions: first, the walk towards all the sites in Sultanhament, while close (8 minute walk) is an uphill walk (but at the end of the day, when you are tired and sweaty, the walk back to the hotel is thus, downhill); second, the free breakfast is a little weird. There's a LOT of food, but I wasn't a fan of what appeared to be the typical continental Turkish breakfast. But again these two things are minor. I saw a lot of crappy hotels abounding in the Sultanhamet. If you don't want to feel cheated in Istanbul, book this hotel. We world travelers need to keep places like this in business!!

We have spent three days in Istanbul at the Hotel Amira and were very impressed. awe were greeted by Arthur, the Front Office Manager, and taken to the roof top terrasse for an introduction to the hotel and Istanbul. He offered suggestions on sites and restaurants. The two restaurants suggested were great (the Khorasan and the Aloran) . The rooms at the hotel are well appointed and very confortable. We had room 404 with a baicony and a view of the Bosphorous. Room 405 next door would also be great. The breakfast offers a good selection of cold and hot dishes. The internet is free. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and not too far from the Grand Bazaar. It is weel located for easy access to the main sites of the city.
For my wife's birthday, Arthur arranged for a chocolate fondue to be delivered to the room, along with a lackered backgammon game as a birthday present. This attentiveness and thoughtfulness is what made our stay at the Amira extra special. Thanks to all the staff for a very pleasant stay in Istanbul.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights at the hotel amira. From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff were faultless. From the reception desk to the cleaning staff to the bar staff everything is perfect to the point that its unusual. The room was beautiful with fantastic bathroom with spa bath and all. The hotel is situated in a fantastic area for sightseeing. On arrival we were sat down and brought a complimentary welcome drink. The staff then gave us a map and reccomendations for sightseeing and dinner. They also booked various things for us. All in all it was service that you dont get from hotels. I would also like to mention that we had a transfer booked from the airport to the hotel and our plane was 2 hours delayed. When we arrived our driver was still there. A very big thank you to the staff at the amira hotel who made our stay memorable. Stay here you will not be dissapointed.

Just got home from a few days in Istanbul and stayed at the Amira Hotel. Its the first time we have been to Istanbul and we couldn't have picked a better hotel.
The Amira is right on the doorstep of the Blue Mosque, 10 mins walk to the Grand Bazaar and 10 mins to most other places in the old part of the City.
On arriving at the hotel the staff are waiting to greet you with smiling faces and are happy to help you with anything.
During a welcome drink the manager will show you a local map and point out places of interest and recommend some local restaurants (visited 2 of them and they were worth visiting)
Thank you to all of the staff at the Amira, we had a lovely time.

We stayed at the Amira for 10 days. I have traveled extensively for both work and pleasure and this is among the 3 best hotels that I have stayed in (and that includes hotels like the Four Seasons and the Mandarin in Hong Kong). Every person at the hotel could not have been nicer or more helpful. Every recommendation that they made - from an "easy" neighborhood restaurant, to a good travel agent to book our travel within Turkey, to a restaurant for a special occasion - was perfect and exactly what we were after. The rooms and beds were extremely comfortable (included terry robes, and all the usual amenities), the breakfasts were delicious without being "showy", the roof garden was lovely, and - above all - the staff could not have been more lovely. The Amira gets the highest rating from me and my husband.
