We had a double room on the 3rd floor, with the view of the Bosphorus and the mosque, which was absolutely breathtaking!
The room itself was very small, but with the jacuzzi and the lovely view it was totally worth it.

The only drawback was the Adan times in the evening and very early morning (very noisy!). As there are many mosques around, you will need ear plugs to get a good night of sleep.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are really yummy and when we were visiting, there was a complimentary afternoon tea offered by the hotel with tea, coffee and sandwiches.

To sum it up, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the place. :)

Our stay at Hotel Lausos was marvelous. We traveled with extended family and had more than one room. The location was perfect in the center of the "old city" of Sultanahmet and we were able to walk to many beautiful sites. The hospitality was superb! We were treated as truly welcomed guests by all of the staff but particularly by Resat and Yasmin. Our comfort was their main concern. Resat helped us arrange a cruise up the Bosphorus and was very kind in helping us navigate the city. He arranged for our transport to the airport and was overall a very, very helpful gentleman. The food was marvelous! The chef daily made specialty treats of many varieties and the breakfast was plentiful. Yasmin always anticipated when I wanted a coffee, then served it on a lovely silver plate with sweets! Our rooms had beautiful views, air conditioning, and clean and comfortable bathrooms. They were clean and the sheets and towels were wonderfully soft! We would return to this lovely city and stay at Hotel Lausos again and again!

Room Tip: All the rooms were very nice but I really liked the one on the upper floor.

It was a pleasure staying at this hotel. We were offered a lvl 4 room with a massive window overlooking Sultanhmet, including the blue mosque and hagia sophia in front of the sea and beyond. You could just sit in your room and take in the views day and night. The most stand out feature of the hotel was the exceptional service of the reception desk, particularly from Rashad and Soner who were so helpful to me and my travel company. They helped plan our days and book everything and anything we needed, day or night, which along with their friendliness and good sense of humour made our stay very enjoyable. Stay here and you will not be disappointed!

Room Tip: Choose a room with sea views, not the lower levels with street view.

The staff was wonderful! The location in Sultanhamet was a few short blocks from the Hippodrome & Blue Mosque and we had a lovely view of the latter from our window. I was offered my choice of two rooms and selected the smaller one with the better view. It was cozy, but since we used it for little other than sleeping, that did not matter to us. The beds were very comfortable. We were at the end of the hall, so wifi was not perfect, but worked well enough. The bath was modern and not at all musty (an problem mentioned in one review, but ours smelled very fresh and clean). The tub did have a spray nozzle, but no way to affix it to the wall to use as a shower, so if that is important to you, be sure to ask. Breakfasts offered ample options. The best was the surprise birthday cake!

We stayed 4 nights at the Lausos Hotel and the experience was absolutely great. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they booked all our trips, restaurants and transportation. They were always going for the extra mile to make our stay memorable, even surprising us with a birthday cake! The room was delightful with an incredible view on the city and the sea. It was clean and well appointed and the service was efficient and discreet. The hotel location is also a huge bonus, walking distance from every major tourist attraction and lots of options for dinner around. Overall we were very pleased with our choice and will definitely come back there next time.

We spent four very pleasant nights at the Lausos. The hotel is newly remodeled in the old Ottoman style, which we really enjoyed. We stayed in one of the family rooms that consist of two bedrooms separated by a door. The main bedroom was lovely though the second room with two twin beds felt a bit like a dormitory and has no windows. Some might find it a bit claustrophobic. There isn't complete privacy as there is an opening at the top of the door that separates the bedrooms. Still, we were all so exhausted by the end of each day that is didn't matter because the beds were very, very comfortable. Our room was on the street side across from a mosque but the outside noise never bothered us.

The breakfast is good if a little basic. The hotel will serve you tea or coffee at any time as the rooms do not have kettles. They do have minibar refrigerators, however.

The people who work at the hotel are incredibly helpful and kind. They recommended a wonderful restaurant called Amedros, which is quite close by.

The hotel is very well located with short walks to the main sights in Sutlanhmet as well as the tram station. There are several different ways to get to the hotel, which allowed us to avoid hawkers if we felt like it.

Highly recommended.

Location could not be better for visiting the treasures of Sultanhmet. The rooms are a little small but fully renovated. The bathrooms are tight but they have amazing high tech showers that are similar in design to the Star Trek transporter. Excellent climate control and the staff was quite accommodating as well. The most flexible breakfast hours I have ever experienced. Solid comfortable hotel choice in Sultanhmet if you don't need a large American size room.
