Am really blown away that this restaurant has a Michelin star. While we got to meet and chat with the chef, who was very friendly, the rest of the staff was non-communicative.

We ordered a dish that came out prepared nothing like the menu read, and when we asked the waiter said the menu had changed, but he didn't mention that while ordering.

The food looked like it had been sitting under heat lamps, and was far from either inventive or exceeding in taste.

We ate here twice last week at the end of a three week excursion through western Turkey and were extremely pleased with our experience. Our terrace table had a beautiful view of the Bosphorus, the service was excellent, the wine list was interesting and extensive, and the food--sea bass and sea bream both times--was wonderfully prepared and the best of our trip. The place isn't cheap, but we certainly paid less than we would have at home (the Washington, DC area) for meals of the quality we were served.

I have been to many 1-3 star Michelin restaurants all over the world, Noma being the last. I could say that I was impressed by the food in this 1-star restaurant - I had the asparagus salad, sea bass with curry and the white chocolate mousse. Of course, the alcohol cost much more than I'd like due to very obvious reasons, but overall my dining experience was great but not spectacular. I think Mimolett has amazing potential, the tools, location and access to ingredients that can really make a name in the haute cuisine world. All the best!

Just eaten at Mimolette restaurant that insome websites seems to have claim to a Michelin star did it drop out of the sky? as it was not earned by cuisine or service. the food was at best ordinary we had the tasting menu consisting of cauliflower soup as the amuse bouche rubbery squid. Confit of
duck that was ok but it was surrounded by an inedible risotto that was a mix of raw rice aubergine and something smoky resembling the smell of rubber tyres. the foie gras was delicious though I had serious doubts as to the reasons for the chocolate yes a whole chocolate! The chocolate ginger and the fig jam that accompanied the well cooked delicious foie!!. A main of overcooked fillet mingnon cooked at least one stage further than we ordered it was tender but fairly tasteless and to accompany this cold mashed potatoes stewed button mushrooms and a bit of red cabbage with golden raisins!!! Dessert was a tea flavoured brûlée that was ok served with a nice chocolate.
At no time during the meal were we asked if "everything was ok" as is usual in most restaurants. the wine was overpriced.
There was only one waiter for 4 tables downstairs and there seemed to be a lot of attention lavished on a private dining room upstairs .
chef came out to speak to some diners but never came near us
This restaurant is posing as a Michelin star standard but having eaten in many such establishments I can assure everyone that this is most certainly not worthy of a star.
