“Fabulous place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2013

Not a single word can describe how much I was impressed by this hotel! It is the most pleasant and beautiful hotel I have ever visited in Istanbul. I do recommend to stay at this hotel should you have a chance to visit Istanbul.

Right next to major sights in Istanbul. Located directly behind the Blue Mosque. Hard to find anything closer. Excellent staff, clean, well decorated rooms. Breakfasts repetitious, but satisfactory. Small lobby, local artistic furnishings.

Here are the things I liked most about this hotel:
Great location in Sultanahmet, close to all the sights there. I liked hearing the call to prayer from the Blue Mosque.
Very nice bathroom and products.
Cute little street, though lots of tourists and vans using it to get to the Mosque from below. Good people watching, though.
Early morning coffee - hurray!
Here are things that were not as great:
Really hard bed (seems typical of Turkey)
Somewhat pushy front desk staff, going beyond helpful to trying to dissuade us from our plans.

This small hotel is tucked into a corner on an ancient Old City lane, with hardly any traffic, but only five minutes from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Next to the hotel is an old wooden house. We were picked up by the hotel at the airport which made our arrival very easy. Staff were extremely helpful and gave us an informed sense of the political situation in Turkey. We will definitely go there again when we return to see the Chora Byzantine church which we missed and which is very special.

The location I the old city is close too perfect. You really feel like you are part of the city...not just an observer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The decor is charming...breakfast was great. Definitely will visit again!

Gorgeous, little gem of a hotel, tucked behind the Blue Mosque. It has only 6 rooms but they are spacious and full of character. Very helpful staff and very good breakfast. Walking distance to the tram which takes you to the Spice Market and Galata Bridge. Also walking distance to Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkia Palace. Only negative - very steep stairs up ;to the rooms, however the staff eagerly take you bags to your room.

This little gem only metres from the Blue Mosque is a excellent place for a few nights to explore the Sultanahmet area.
The staff were very friendly and Nothing was a problem including grabbing a sandwich and a tonic water from the nearby shop for a weary traveler.
The room was clean ,well appointed and - free WiFi ,included in the room price was a excellent breakfast .
Special mention to Cafer and Ufuk the front office managers for there hospitality .
Caution - extra care taken when using the steep stairway to the rooms.
Highly recommended .
