We spend three nights in the Anatolia suite (room 111) with a balcony and an amazing view on ayasofya church. This small boutique hotel (11 rooms) is literally 5 minutes from all major sites, not only the historical ones but also the grand bazaar and egyptian market. The real bonus is that there is a tram station (gulhane) 20 seconds away that brings you to all other sites, inclyding istiklal street to go out at night, departure to the Bosphorus cruises, etc We just could not believe how convenient this location was. The rooms, even the suite, are a bit on the small size but the hotel is recent, very clean, nicely decorated and very rare in Istanbul has amazing sound proof windows and doors. Can't imagine a sec why you'd spend 600€ at the Four Seasons but you of course don't have any hotel amenities so you have to look the boutique style.

The Hypnos was a delightful surprise with its neo-classic interiors and a baroque touch...giving you a 5 star boutique experience with location, food, personalised service...a all in one package we reccommend to all desiring a "Turkish Delight" experience in Istanbul.

Room Tip: Anatolya Suite...a romantic view of the Blue Mosq

we're young couple from Paris and we've stayed this charming hotel for 4 nights. It was totally magnificent. They've different kind of rooms and helpful, always smiling stuff. They're ready to make your stay better always. The room were quite tiny that we've stayed but extremely perfect designed.

Location was surprisingly excellent. In couple of minutes by walk;you can find yourself in the middle of the history and historic attractions.

The breakfast was ok but was not open buffet. They're serving to your table in the modern designed cosy cafe.It was the lobby at the same time.

Thank you for all.I'll definitely come back.

Room Tip: choose the rooms with the balcony..

We staced at this hotel for 2 nights and 2 different rooms. One was booked for the second night. The 1st room was lovely, The Otterman Room and the 2nd one was really only a single room, very small for a double.
They are not sound proofed at all and you can hear what people are saying in the rooms on either side.
No reception area either for waiting for a taxi, you have to wait outside on the footpath.
Bathrooms are clean and modern and it is a shame about the noise because the rooms are lovely.

Dear Sally Christine,

Firstly we want to thank you for sharing your precious comments.

We are very sorry about that you were unhappy with your second room. We are always happy to change rooms regarding to your request, but full occupancy stopped this. Again we are very sorry.

Noise problems between rooms are very big worry in the hotel industry. We are now searching for sound masking solutions to fix this undesirable problem.

Additionally, our cafe is always open as a waiting area and our guests can use this area as a lobby. We are sorry for missing information that we need to give you before.

We want to offer you a free upgrade on your next stay. We hope to see you again.

Best regards,

Hypnos Team

Just back home from a week end in Istanbul.
Hypnos hotel has been exactly as I expected: every detail is chosen with great taste.
We reserved the Anatolia suite, room 111, which has a small wooden balcony with a superb view on Aya Sofya.
The room is perfect, white colors, very relaxing after a day of walking in the city.
The bathroom is small but clean and comfortable and it has a wonderful shower separated from the room only by a glass.
The mattress on the bed is top quality, very hard, gifting you a super deep sleep.
Breakfast is served in super stylish Eon restaurant on the ground floor, food is good quality but they can improve service, it took a little longer to get served.
Position is great, 5 minutes walk from Topkapi Palace, Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque, etc and 20 seconds walk to tram station Gulhane, perfect if you want to reach Beyoglu.
Also 5 minutes walk to Galata Bridge and Eminonu pier where you can catch a ferry to the asian side or a Bosphoro Tours.
I will definitely come back.

We stayed in the gorgeous Anatole suite with a balcony looking over the Hagia Sophia, a glass walled shower- you could see into bedroom, and generally a really cool room- loved it........... The staff are extremely nice too.. BUT the bedrooms were really warm air con was locked in heat mode, the tv wasn't working right, there was no complimentary water in the room (considering it is unsafe to drink tap water), the curtains were really thin so it was bright very early each am and finally at about 2 every morning a strong smell of frying/cooking wafted into the room (this happened even with Air con off).. It is a very cool little hotel in a great location, but Im a little disappointed that details were overlooked, we were sleepless in Istanbul.. unfortunately not worth the money.....

Dear Lily,

Like most hotels, our heating & ventilation system is in summer mode or winter mode. So because you stayed in January, it was in winter mode. All rooms can turn off their heating and we are happy to help with this if needed.

Sometimes the guests can mixing up the TV channels. And our stuff can fix the problem with pleasure any time.

We have a filter system and all water is safe to drink in our hotel.

Every balcony has an awning which when opened, it stops light.

Our kitchen extraction fan has been fixed, It was a temporary problem so cooking smells are no longer a problem.

We hope to see you again.

Yours sincerely,

Hypnos Team
