Would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Istanbul. It's not a concept I have come across before - you get your own studio apartment with bedroom/living space, kitchen and bathroom but then you get to have breakfast at a hotel and use of their services. We stayed in Studio 2. In case you are looking at the pictures on the website and think the bed looks a bit small (we did!) it's actually fine! The studio is beautifully decorated and furnished, with lovely handpainted flowers on all the cupboards and doors. It feels like a proper home away from home, with loads of (english language) books. There's no view to speak of from Studio 2 but from the roof terrace (shared between the studios) you get fabulous views across the Bosphorus in one direction and to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia in the other.
The Hotel Armada is a thirty second walk round the corner from the apartment building. The breakfast there is included in the price of the apartment. It is served in a top floor room with fabulous views as per the apartment roof terrace (we saw dolphins several mornings while eating). Breakfast is a huge selection of cereals, cooked items, fruit, yogurt etc including a whole honeycomb that you can break pieces off.
The guest services at the hotel were also very helpful in finding us information such as ferry timetables and where to buy football match tickets.
The apartment/hotel are conveniently located for the main sights of Sultanahmet.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
