Let's face it, chances are you are like us, happy to book a budget hotel any day with private bathroom then staying in a room full of strangers in a hostel. We were pleasently suprised, especailly by the owner who was so very helpful and happy to answer any questions we threw at him. Rooms are tiny (2 beds and a cupboard is all that fits in and walls are paper thin) as is the bathroom and elevator. But it is not bad, comes with breakfast and is close to everything. Small price, small room but recommended if you are not fussy

We were group of 13 and stayed at this hotel 4 nights. The rooms are clean which we really appreciated but they reminded us of the museum of miniatures :-) It is suitable just for two people (maximum). We were warned by the staff that the rooms are small but there had to be three of us in one room - one extra matress was in the room´s hall, just next to the entrance to the bathroom. During the day we leaned the matress against the wall and during the night the bathroom could not be used.
A typical turkish breakfast was served at the roof terrace with an awesome view of Haghia Sophia.
The location is great and the price is great, too. We would certainly come back here.

As me & my friend spent our EID Ramadan Holidays in Istanbul from Aug 24-31, 2011 (8days & 7nights), we never regret having checked-in in this Hotel. Everything is within the vicinity of the Hotel, a few steps to Istanbul's major Tourist Attractions and Restaurants. Hotel is clean and most especially, staffs are so accomodating. The owner, Mr .Abdullah makes you feel as if you're a "very special person" . In short, a VIP treatment from the first day till the day you check out..I wont have a second thought of referring this Hotel to others.....SUPERB !!!!...THUMBS UP !!!!

Spent 5 nights at the Sevila Hotel from 18 to 22 June 2011. Arrived earlier than planned on the 18th and the owner generously let me sleep on a spare bed in the basement for a few hours for no cost. Then checked into a room which did not match the description of the one we had booked through booking.com. Changed to a different room the second night which was still quite small with the TV not working properly and the fridge not working at all. We paid €46 per night per room for the first two nights. However, we were able to negotiate a cheaper price of €33 per room per night for the last three nights of our stay. Rooftop breakfast was included in the price. Staff at the hotel were helpful with information and directions. The hotel is in a good location, 10 minutes walk from Sultan Ahmed (Blue) Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Sea of Marmara waterfront. Sultanahmet tram stop is 5 minutes walk. Supermarkets and many restaurants are nearby. This hotel, much like a hostel, can do the job for a bed and shower for anyone mainly concerned with the main sights of Istanbul and not where you spend the night.
