We came to this guesthouse through recommendations by family members who already had a great time staying there. The building is very well-located, just on a few minutes from the famous blue mosque and aya sofya (although need to walk a steap road to get there). From our room window on the second floow we had a view on the beautiful "small aya sofya". The guesthouse is a real guesthouse, exactly what you expect from such a place; hospitale people always ready to help/advise, clean rooms and good breakfast. In short a place to feel home in a metropole like Istanbul. Just waiting for the breakfastroom on the third floor to be finished/renovated, with a view on the Marmara sea; definately a place to recommend for those with limited budgets looking for a comfortable and thrustable place/people. Special thanks to the dedicated hosts Özcan, Halil and Esma.

We had originally booked just one night because it was cheap and well located and we finally spent there our whole stay in Istanbul because the rooms were very clean and nice, breakfast was great and the staff made us feel as confortable as if we were at home. They also helped us with all the information we needed about the city, they recommended us a great restaurant, and we even went karting together!
We really recommend it! :)

This guesthouse is very closely located from main tourist sites, such as Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Astra bazaar. The rooms are clean and maintained daily by staff memebers. I have stayed in a room with double-sized bed and it has everything you need: A/C, TV, closet, dressing table, and toilet with shower. The most important part of this guest house is friendly and approachable staff members. The staffs, Halil and Ozcan, is very friendly, helpful, and provided good information on attractions nearby. They even took me and my girlfriend for go-karting in the night. It was very fun and unforgettable moment. I really loved staying in this guesthouse and would definitely go back for my next visit. Thanks again to Halil and Ozcan for their friendly service!

This is a small hotel with about 8 rooms. It has been recently renovated everything in the rooms looks new and clean. It's in a good location in the old town near many tourist attractions.
Staff (Ozcan, Halil and Sercan) was very friendly and I felt like at home during my stay there (I stayed there for 3 nights). If you are young going to Istanbul for sightseeing you are most likely going to like this place.
There are two things that did not bother me but you might not like about this place:1.narrow staircase with no elevators, 2. there is a train track passing near the building.

This is the kind of guesthouse where you stay if you are looking for a cheap place to sleep... but not only. The rooms are clean, have a bathroom with toilets and it's quite quiet (except the train which is not far away).
But if you stay there do me a favor, take time to talk with the staff, stay longer than needed in the "restaurant" room, or on the couch in the main entrance. You may discover a different Istanbul than the one in your tourist guide.
And if one of them suggest you a strange trip for the evening, like "please come with us we will have diner in a cheap restaurant and spend the evening in a bar with a very nice view"... even if it sounds a little bit scaring, go there. You will have a great time, probably meet other nice people (we did and even spend one full day with people met during this evening)... just stop to be shy and fear for everything.
This is how you can discover the secrets of Istanbul, not in a 5 stars hotel...

Just coming back, from Turkey, last part of our trip in Istambul, 4 nights in this simple hotel.
First of all, let's precise that Istambul with its16 million of people (+ tourists) IS NOT a quiet city ;-)
The hotel is ideally situated for the ones who want to discover Istambul historical part (Sultanahmet). 5 minutes walk to the blue mosquee or to the tram line (T1).
Near a train line... but that was not too much bothering (not a lot of traffic by evening and even less by night).
The terrass of the hotel is gorgious !!! We could order a hot meal at the nearby Doy Doy and eat it in front of the sea of Marmara !!! A pure delight !!!
And the sunset on the sea is really beautifull !!!!

The receptionnist is really friendly, likes to share about Turkey and Istambul. Feel free to talk to him while smoking a cigarette in the street ;-)
The lady cleaning the house is really kind and try hard to satisfy your needs (e.g.. preparing a breakfast in a hurry before the usual time, before leaving early morning to the airport).

8 rooms. Ours was big enough and OK furnished.
Clean / towels changed every day.
Breakfast good (I love helva for breakfast), enough food...

Just an advise : due to poor condition of sonor isolation... avoid the 111 room (ground floor next to the reception desk), since we could hear every sound coming from the entrance hall...

And..last... if you want to relax from this noisy city... you are just 50 m far from Cusuk Aya Sophia (little ste Sophia) and its peacefull patio (almost no noise... cats.. and "locals" drinking tea / coffee or smoking nargile) !!!

Room Tip: Not 111. I suppose first floor is the best. Higher is usually noisier ;-)
