This is my fourth visit to Levni hotel due to my business trips and this is my second review. I very much liked their new address which is closer to Sultanahmet and next to governers Office which is also a beautifull historical building. They even changed their name. Entrance street is much better and metro station nearly finished and I hope it would add great value to them at least it will be much more easier for me to go the hotel from the airport. They now have new menu with more great Turkish food. I did not use new spa but definetly will use it on my next trip.

Overall, Levni is a good hotel. We came as a family, my wife and I with our three young kids, and the place is clean and comfortable. The staff was patient and responsive - they had to haul in an extra bed to the kids' room and we had other requests that were all fulfilled with a smile. The rooms we got did not have a view to speak of; they were not big but the ceiling was very high, which made for a spacious and pleasant feeling.

The Levni is one of those places where you get the impression that attention is not given to the finest detail, but I guess that is the most you can get for about $180/night in Istanbul. On the scale of hotels I would place it at the higher end of the "affordable" segment. It's practical, comfortable and clean, but lacks in aesthetics and certain amenities that you would get at a hotel that is one or two notches higher. All that is understandable, given the reasonable rate per night.

The layout of the hotel is counter-intuitive and it's a bit hard to keep oriented when you walk the corridors, but after a day or so you get used to it. The spa is quite small but nice; it has an indoor swimming pool with clear, clean water. Breakfast is diverse and tasty with a Mediterranean flavor and the dining hall has windows that overlook a manicured garden.

The location is ideal, in Sultanahmet district, within a short walking distance from some of Istanbul's major historical sites including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, New Mosque and more.

If you love Istanbul as I do, you will always enjoy this older part of town, which is also not far from other city attractions such as Taksim and Besiktas. We had a very good time staying at the Levni Hotel and recommend it to others.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in one of the higher floors, so you have a view. There was construction going on next...

We traveled to Istanbul with our two daughters and their husbands, spending 4 nights at this hotel. The hotel was close to all historical sights allowing us to walk freely even late at night. The staff was pleasant and accommodating and the hotel clean. We all recommend this hotel.

We stayed for three night in August 2013. The hotel is extrememly well situated for the major sites. The rooms are very well set out and the bathrooms are stylish with excellent showers. The spa is impressive and the staff are very professional both there and in the hotel. The hotel layout is a tad strange but arises from it being built across two buildings and is not an issue at all. The breakfast menu is vast (although no cooked breakfasts apart from deliicous omelettes, for obvious reasons). I would recommend thoroughly. R

Room Tip: Our room was at the back and was very quiet.

We stayed there with my partner in 2012 October for 3 nights.

To get to the hotel we took one of the shuttle buses from the airport to Taksim. Then took a taxi to the hotel. It was 10-15 minutes from Taksim. There are plenty of one-way streets so the driver struggled to find it. The hotel is literally walking distance from most interesting places. I really can not think of a more convenient location for a visit to the 'old city'. But be prepared to be waken by the prayer from the nearby mosque at 4 am :)

The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

The staff were very friendly and professional. They were helpful with where to go in what order to avoid traffic etc.

There is a Turkish bath in the hotel which was absolutely fantastic!

I didn't have dinner at the hotel but the breakfasts were amazing. The variety and quality of food was really impressive.

Overall: go for it! You won't regret.

We have just returned from 4 days staying at the Levni which was perfectly situated in Sultanahmet for all the tourist attractions; great restaurants and near the tram stop. Hotel staff were extremely helpful at all times and the facilities of the hotel were fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel!

We are still here at the Levni. Great place to stay and great location. Close to everything you want to see in Istanbul. Easy to walk anywhere.

We have a Deluxe room. Nice size, very clean, new and well cared for. Staff is very friendly.

It has an indoor pool, dry sauna and Turkish bath (similar to steam room). Great to relax at end of day, before dinner. At this time, after 3 days, I can't say one bad thing about this hotel.
