“Nice hostel near all the sights and attraction”
Reviewed 10 June 2013 via mobile

I stayed in for 4 nights, location is very convinient for me. It's a walking distance to istiklal, galata tower, great bazaar, and the old town area. It's nearby a lot of cafes, restaurant, and hangout places. Staff is really nice and helpful.

So, downside..well the faucet for the shower in my room looks like its about to fall off. It worked well though, but I can see clearly they tried to fix it sometimes ago and doesnt succeed well enough hehe..
And I missed a trip to cappadocia because one of the receptionist tell me to look for an agency myself on taksim square, when I already email them a week before and they told that it can be arranged on the hostel. Well, maybe next time :)

Overall I had a nice time and a good sleep in Arch-ist.

If I want to explain about the location, quality, hospitality, room size and... I have to tell you every things is OK and this hostel has the mid range or best range of every things that a hostel should be. But there is an special things there which is friendship! I have many experience in different hostels in all over the world; but have never seen a hostel like this place. there is a small kitchen and also small place for seating at the the front of reception which are the best places to find international friends and enjoying the real meaning of a hostel. in addition there is a small terrace at the roof that you can enjoy your early morning and late evening there. So, don't attend to some problems like midnight noise or small lockers or some other problems. If you like to experience friendship and find international friends, don't stop your booking!

Room Tip: first and second floors has wifi, but you can not be connected at the third floor or under roof room...

We were a group of 8 ladies and booked the whole hostel for four nights. It ended up being an excellent choice for us. Cheaper than having 4 normal hotel rooms but still much nicer since we were able to have breakfast together and enjoy aperitives together on the roof top terrace. It would be suitable for a private rent even if you are 10-20 persons. You have a bathroom in every room so when traveling with ladies, that's a big plus.

Our main host during the stay was Sadi, thank you very much, we all thought you were brilliant!

Only minus is that the owner could put a little more effort in the maintenance of the place.

I traveled to Istanbul with a group of friends, and we booked via booking.com three rooms with private bathroom for a total of 8 people for 4 nights. At our arrive to the hostel the receptionist took our confirmation email print and started to speak confused words. After about one hour of discussing they didn't have our booking in their system so we were without any accomodation for the night.
The first solution proposed was giving us some beds in shared dormitory without bathroom and for only the first two nights! Incredible!! They were completely uninterested to the uncomfortable situation they bring us. After some other discussions the split the group in two subgroup and found some hostel at the same price but without any comfort and without any apologies (neither economic or spoken).
So at this hostel if you have your reservation confirmation it could be valueless.

Was recommended this hidden gem by a friend, and am eternally grateful! Great location, right near istiklal and taksim square. Beyoglu is a great area to base your holiday out of, as it's away from the hoardes of tourists staying in Sultanahmet, but still in a very lively area. Staff are brilliant and really friendly. Free wifi and computers in the reception, clean rooms with orthopaedic mattresses (!). I stayed in the 6 bed dorm which had a little ensuite bathroom- small but functional. The whole place has a really great vibe, and sometimes it's hard to leave! No curfew, and its easy enough to find. Only criticism is that we had a leak through our roof after a stormy night. It wasnt particularly annoying though. Oh also the road down below can be noisy but not enough to keep you awake.

A really nice hostel. In my favourite area of Istanbul (apart from Kadiköy) - Cihangir. Every room has its own bathroom and the room are really spacious!! One of the best hostel I've stayed at!!
I just have to complain about the girl working at the reception - she is not helpful at all and everything is a burden for her to do. She is maybe a nice person, but thats not the right job for someone who is not social and talkative at all!

I stayed there for like 8 nights and they were really the best in my whole summer vacation, it's the best place to stay at I mean if we are talking hostels it has everything you could need, great decoration, English speaker staff (they are more friends than workers), kitchen equipped with everything,,wifi in the loopy, clean air conditioned rooms everything was just fine. And one more thing they have this roof top terrace were we had so much fun every night we go up and party and the hostel is actually surrounded with many dance pubs
Becarful of the double room it's actually an attic, in other words you can't stand up straight

Room Tip: Most dorm rooms are the same, the only difference is with the number of beds in each room, and the d...
