Very good hotel, placed 3 min. walk from Sultanahmed square. Clean rooms, towels were replaced every day. Staff helped us to book tours. They have transfer from and to airport. When we had to leave hotel before the breakfast was served they made it specially for us. Beautifil view from breakfast terrace. Also we were proposed bigger room for the same price as it wasn't a tourist season and they had a lot of free rooms. I think we will come back there :)

Great hotel,great staff,great owners!!!!
We really enjoyed our stay in Sultanahmet Cesme . We are a family of three and stayed in the hotel in the middle of August.
The location is great you are so close to all the major attractions ,to Agia Sofia, Cucuk Agia Sofia and other.Everything is just a walk! Believe me it's located in the best part of the old city , i could also say in the city!
It is small and clean family run hotel with no noise during the night and day of course!
the breakfast is served in the terrace and the view of Bosphorous is breathtaking!
A coffee in the evening or a drink in the night in the rooftop terrace is a must!
Jekin and Varol were very helpful, and always smiley !!!!thank you! They waited for us and kept a place to park our car outside the hotel!!!!
The breakfast was very good, the room was very clean with good furnitures, it has tea maker ,hairdryer and free wi-fi.
No elevator as many of the hotels in the old city!
It's an excellent hotel and we would absolutely stay again!

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are very quite!

Our great experience with Cesme began with the booking process. I was able to book and confirm our reservation for a last-minute trip just one night in advance via e-mail; Varol was incredibly helpful and understanding about my preference for booking without a credit card.

The economy rooms are pretty small (in our room there was just room enough to walk on one side of the bed and a narrow squeeze between the foot of the bed and the dresser and wardrobe) but bright and clean. Bathroom is modern, clean, and comfortable with an average amount of space.

Cleaning staff is courteous and speaks Russian and English.

Breakfast was above average - fried eggs, sausage, and a sort of Turkish french toast coupled with cold cuts, assorted cheese, bagels, breads, and a plethora of condiments. You get a decent spread, but the real charm of this place is the fantastic panorama view of the coast-hugging edge of Sultanahmet and the Bosphorus shoreline from the breakfast terrace, perched above the rooftops of neighboring buildings.

All in all, this place is one of the best values for the area, and gives you all you need for a comfortable, if not luxurious, stay. If you're spending a lot of time in the hotel anyway, you're really taking very poor advantage of the fact that you're in one of the prettiest boutique parts of the Sultanahmet district.

This hotel is very well located for the major attractions. It is extremely good value. Breakfast is very good, served on the 4th floor. There is a roof garden which we used in the early evenings to have a glass of wine and lovely views. The rooms are very clean but are a little "dull" in colour. However, this is not a problem when you consider the value for money the hotel offers.

Gengis helps in every way he can with advice etc and Varol manages reception efficiently.

There is no lift so be aware of a climb for breakfast, the roof terrace or the rooms on the 4th floor.

Hi All ,

this was my first time to turkey and it was only for a 1 night as i had to take a flight the next day. So ideally it was a transit place for me . I would say its definitely value for money . The location just 5 mins walk to major tourist places like the Blue Mosque ,Grand Bazaar, etc. The Breakfast was just above average but not wort a complain . they have definitely made ever efforts to keep the place clean . Also they have a sitting area on the terrace and the view from there is just beautiful .
Some more tips that can help you to reach this place

1. If you don't want to spend Euro 25-30 for a taxi to reach this hotel its fine .The Metro & tram is convenient . When you get down at Sultanahment tram station its just 5 mins walk from there .
2. for your return journey to the airport , you have shuttle bus service , it picks you up right in front of the hotel and the cost is only euro5/-

The Wifi is amazing in this hotel .

Also i must say i had a good time with the owner of the hotel Mr Kaya , he is very helpful and will try his best to make your stay as comfortable as possible .

Definitely worth another stay ...!!!

Regards
Prerak Shah

My wife and I have just returned from our first trip to Istanbul. We picked this hotel because we liked the look of the location and we were absolutely right. It is just 5 minutes walk to the major attractions like Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, and a few minutes more to the Grand Bazaar etc. It's easy to walk everywhere or get the tram to the Eminou for the ferres and Spice Market. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the breakfast perfectly adequate. Varol and the other staff are really helpful and pleasant. We will definately return to this hotel.

Great location to visit the top sights, but a little bit far from mass transport access to other parts of the cities. Rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The terrace and breakfast are fantastic. It is nice to stay in Sultanahmet as you get to experience the old Istanbul and the call for praying.
