Although the hotel is nice and the rooms are fine (beware of the strong smoking culture in Turkey!) there are couple of hickups that a hotel on that level could not afford. The reception staff was disorganized, doubling the tasks or ommiting them completely. Also, pay attention of the booking credit card charge!
My room was reserved by the hosts and I should get a suite room. At the check-in they gave me an upgrade due to unavailability. However, I received a upper standard room, not the suite. After a day and the host's intervention the receptionist acknowledged the issue and told me to pack so they could transfer my luggage to the new (original) room. After my return from the dinner the new receptionist knew nothing about it and my luggage was still there in my room. It took them 20 min to give me the suite which was then a smoking room. As he said they don't have a non smoking one, I stayed in my room. No apologies, no complimentary things, nothing. The attitude gave me a feeling they don't really care.
As for the booking charge, they've charged me 16% over the agreed price. No explanation. No apologies.
My other remarks are in line with the other reviewers.More
