A quiet hotel in an urban residential neighborhood, so away from the main traffic which is one reason I selected it. I traveled solo and had a room not much larger than the bed which seems to be the norm in Istanbul. As an average size person, the bathroom still required some negotiation with hardly any room to put anything down, let alone my toothbrush! There is a lovely breakfast room on the top floor with a nice buffet and vistas of Istanbul. The hotel is a few blocks from the main road and tram stop. I enjoyed walking into the historic part of Istanbul (20-30 min walk) and returning to the hotel by tram. Know where the hotel is on a map (and know the nearest street off the main road) before you arrive at the hotel and before you leave it for the first time so you can find it again later or tell your cab driver where it is. It is safe to walk around at night, but it only makes the hotel harder to find!
