“Great Staff + Great Hotel + Great Location = Great Stay”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

We stayed at hotel Biz Cevahir during our 4 days trip to Istanbul . The hotel staff were all exceptional from the time I contacted them to make the reservation until we checked out of the hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted by half of the hotel staff. Hikmet, Murad, Ahmet were always available to assist with any request or help about the local area. We’ve received few good recommendations from them about the local area and restaurants. The ladies from housekeeping were all smiles every time we met them in the lobby or the hallway and they loved playing with our two daughters. The location as many travels commented is perfect, and within a walking distance to the main attractions and more importantly to the tram station.
I already recommended the hotel to friends and family when they visit Istanbul.
Many thanks to the Biz Cevahir staff for making our stay in Istanbul more special.

The location of the hotel is supreme! Within walking distance, you can visit those major attractions, such as Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc . I have experienced the hospitality of the staffs. They are very friendly and helpful. You can enjoy the travelling in Istanbul even though you haven't made any plans beforehand. The staffs will show you everything! Although the hotel is not big, it is very clean and stylish!

Beautiful boutique hotel just a few steps away from the Blue Mosque and the Haia Sophia, in the heart of Sultan Ahmet. The tram line is also not far from the hotel -about 500metres. Very glossy finishings in the hotel. Pristine clean everything. We had a lovely welcome from the front desk upon check-in, who was very informative and gave us a wealth of information about Istanbul. Room is very modern, swish and ultra-cool, but just on the small side (we had a twin room which apparently are the smaller types). The beds are excellent quality with beautiful linen on them. Breakfast was good, but not very much on offer, but it is sufficient. There are also some stunning restaurants right outside the door of this hotel. There is also a beautiful fabric/souvenir shop right next to the hotel ("Rose Souvenirs") with exactly the same goods available as in the Grand Bazaar, but at exactly half the price. This is a gem of a hotel, with excellent room prices, wonderful service, and a perfect location. We were there during Ramadaan and ot was woderful to see the city come alive at night into the early hours of the morning, and then be able to retire to this peaceful oasis. I will be back. PS: Istanbul is a MUST!

Room Tip: There are ony 2 floors to this hotel, with the deluxe rooms being on the bigger side

My friend and I came for a short visit to Istanbul and stayed at this gorgeous little hotel. Both its location and service were excellent. We highly recomend it. It is a very cosy, clean and modern boutique hotel just steps away from Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque, and it is also surrounded by many excellent restuarants and pedestrian areas.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in early July. The location of this hotel is fantastic, very close to the Blue Mosque and the main tourist attractions. We are both in our seventies and the young man at the desk was so helpful always making sure we knew where to go, recommending restaurants and things to do etc. Our room was on the first floor which was a plus for us, very nice room but did not have a view. The breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful. We would certainly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone traveling to Istanbul.

Lovely hotel with a remarkable friendly staff. Clean, modern rooms and a cute breakfast area. The room with the balcony was fantastic. Close to everything. So wonderful to sit outside and watch the craziness of Ramadan. The staff surprised me with a birthday cake upon arrival. I can't say enough nice things about this hotel!

Thanks to previous reviews we had asked in advance for room 133, the corner room on the third floor, and the terrace and views were worth it. It was nice to relax after long walks in the summer heat on the nice sunbeds. Yes, the room is not very big but it is only really used for sleeping. And it served that purpose well, as it was nice and quiet, and this is coming from a poor sleeper.

And yes, the breakfast is not awesome, but it is ok and at least we didn't overeat ourselves like at an awesome breakfast buffet. Just bear in mind, that if you don't go before 10 for the breakfast, there will not be much left. Even if the eggs were already finished, we asked and were prepared an omelette separately.

Front desk service is friendly, helpful and professional. On arrival already we got maps, brochures and explanations on how and where to go and what do etc. We booked the airport transportation. Probably it is more expensive than at the airport (35 eur) and we had to wait for the driver both ways, but I was still glad that I didn't have to be afraid of the taxi driver not finding the hotel or trying to overcharge etc. especially arriving after a 2 hour delay late in the night.

If the hotel had a swimming pool and maybe a bar or at least room service, it would be perfect. But then that would take space away from the rooms and as the hotel is small with not so many rooms, it would be a trade off for space and peacefulness, which I personally regard highly. So we are already planning to return both to the very interesting Istanbul and this same hotel. Especially if it is your first visit, this location is fantastic as it is easy to walk to the blue mosque, hagia sofia and best of all, the topkapi and they are all very close. Also, the restaurant next door, the meat house, serves very good turkish food and wine.

Room Tip: Ask for room 133, the corner room on the third floor, the terrace and views are worth it. It was nic...
