“Istanbul Sapphire”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

Istanbul Sapphire was the tallest building at one time. Sapphire is the first ecological building of Turkey, having two special glass shells which can take the outside air naturally by holes located at every 3 floors. Thanks to this system, the inhabitants of the building will not be affected by the negative weather conditions and external urban noise,Sapphire rises 54 floors above ground level and very enjoyable to see this and imagine its greatness. It is a shopping and luxury residence mixed-use project and worth visiting

“Not worth the detour”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

The Sapphire tour is not near the main touristic attractions (Sultanahmet). When you go up to the Seyirterasi, you have a 360° view of Istanbul, but only the side of Sultanahmet & the Bosphorus are interesting to see. I think the 360° view from the Galata tower (although not so high) is more worthwhile.
There's also a 4D cinema, Istanbul skyride, where you take a tour by helicopter over Istanbul, by day and by night. I've had better 4D cinema experiences than this one, by far. In my opinion it's also a missed opportunity because you only get a tour of modern Istanbul, which you can do life, since you are IN Istanbul. They'd better made a skyride through history and ancient Istanbul.
This attraction is located in a high end shopping mall. For those who love shopping (and have the money), that's an extra plus.
I was a little bit disappointed because of the high ratings and the good reviews I'd heard from this attraction. All by all it did not live up to my expectations.

“Awesomeness! :D”
Reviewed 22 August 2013

It was our first time to go to a building this high, and it was such a great experience to see Istanbul from up there. The best about the trip was the 4D helicopter skyride, it was amazing. :D The souvenir shop was nice, but the prices are a bit high.
If you go to Istanbul, you should visit this place.

“visit it if you have time and money !!”

Take Taksim metro to Levent 4 station and that will lead you in side the mall , the shopping mall is not that grand as the Dubai malls..For TL28 you can visit the top of the mall 53rd floor to view Istanbul and 4 D simulation ride through the historic site of Fatih..that is very interesting.. avoid the wash rooms in the mall they stink..
