“Great place to stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 November 2013 via mobile

We stayed 4 nights whilst sight seeing in Istanbul. The location was perfect only a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and other sights. It was at the bottom of a steep hill, one of the many in Istanbul. The staff we extremely helpful and readily accommodated our early arrival. Our room on the 3rd floor overlooked the street and was a good size, clean and welcoming. You could hear the call to prayer but with so many mosques in the city I think you would where ever you stayed and it was part of being in Istanbul. The bed was so comfortable I did not want to get up in the morning. We used the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. All meals were very good and served by most helpful staff. I would definitely return if in Istanbul again.

This hotel is in an excellent location!
It is in the historic core of Istanbul.
It is a short walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, The grand Bazaar, etc.
The staff was excellent!
The Service was great.
The included breakfast was outstanding!
Nino who supervises the breakfast was particularly outstanding!
As others have pointed out, there are a number of Mosques nearby.
The early morning call to prayer will likely wake you up!

Room Tip: Asn for an omelette for breakfast!

We stood in the hotel for one week. Very quiet place nearby all main attractions in Istanbul.
Good breakfast with great service by Nino and Hatice. Other hotel staff friendly and very helpfully also.
Recomendable hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at Rose Garden suites. It was a cosy and quiet little spot in the old town of Istanbul. The staff was smiling and very helpfull. The rooms where fine with and had a touch of the old osman style. We would like to come back some day :-)

Excellent service and value for money.
Room was large but windows were very small so no natural light.
Breakfast was very good.
Good location except the roads were very steep which was a bit tiresome on the legs (not the fault of the hotel though).

If any traveller to this giant city is wondering about accommodation, they need look no further than this quaint little gem. Situated in the Sultanahmed area, it is within walking distance of all major attractions - Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi, Grand Bazaar and too many to mention. It is conveniently located to the Tram, the use of which is invaluable to any visitor to this grand city.

We arrived at 6.00 am and knew that check-in was only later (12 noon). The very kind gentleman at reception informed us that, as our room was ready, we could check in early and please help ourselves to breakfast! What a wonderful way to start our holiday! Once we were shown to our room (207) by an equally kind Umar (?) we unpacked and went down to breakfast. Here we were met by a human dynamo called Nino, the Georgian Princess, who manages the breakfast with an aplomb that would make any maitre d' envious. Nothing is any trouble for her and her friendly assistant, who makes most excellent omelettes. The breakfasts are typical Turkish style with pastries, nuts, fruits, yoghurts and some traditional Turkish fare and eggs to order.

Room 207 is very comfortable and large enough with its own hammam and shower and underfloor heating. It is not a quiet room as it is over the street but that was a minor inconvenience. Be prepared for an early wake up call from the local muezzin from the nearby mosque each morning!

We could not have wished for a better place to stay for a truly unforgettable Turkish experience.

Room Tip: Perhaps the rooms overlooking the garden are quieter but they appear smaller
