We stayed at several hotels in Istanbul during our trip there in October 2012. The House Hotel Bosphorus was a wonderful experience: The room was stylish and very comfortable, and the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, including the General Manager, who kindly took the trouble to introduce herself, and personally recommend restaurants and sights and arrange for reservations to be made. We really felt looked after. Ortakoy is a charming district, particularly on the waterfront, and it is good to stay a little bit away from the main tourist areas, but still be in a lively and convenient spot. We will definitely return to lstanbul and plan to stay at the House Hotel Bosphorus again.
