I am staying in the property right now.. Pluses..Good location , if you like to stay close to the historical area, not otherwise. Clean rooms, yes.
Staff, extremely indifferent.. Suggest find another place.

Room Tip: Higher floor

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during our tour of Turkey and Istanbul. Personel where very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and they make the BEST cappacino in Istanbul. Buffet breakfast was average but nice.

Room Tip: Both our rooms faced the back of the hotel. Not a nice view as it overlooks the back of other houses

We stayed there as part of a package tour last week and were agreeably surprised at the condition of the hotel overall. We had a room on the second floor. (room 206) overlooking a street but the double glazing was very efficient and the bathroom impeccable. As stated by other reviewers, it was pretty central, near to the Grand Bazaar, Blue mosque etc. There no good restaurants nearby unless you walk down in the direction of the able Mosque . Unfortunately, the food at the hotel was quite mediocre and we were directed to a restaurant by one of the staff with the assurance that we would be picked up and returned gratis by a cab to his recommended restaurant.Well, the fish was undeniably good but it turned out to be the most expensive meal on the trip, so be warned!Having said that , we would certainly recommend this hotel as the staff was very helpful by and large and the stay pleasant.

tour agent offered this hotel for overnight stay prior to our trip to see Turkey. although we stayed only for one night, we received excellent service e .g. clean and well decorated room , easy wifi log in. After knowing our departure time as early as 5am the next morning, the manager offered to provide us with a packed sandwich for breakfast (free breakfast starts only at 7 daily).Location is good with attractions in walking distance. For someone keen for seafood the hotel is close to Kumpaki where you will find good seafood restaurant

Perfectly situated in the Old Town area, close to tram although main attractions are within walking distance. Nicely decorated and clean hotel, comfy room, welcoming staff and great choice at breakfast. Ask the staff to book you into one of the local fish restaurants, they come and pick you up, few mins away. Walking out of the hotel take a left up to the top of the hill then a right and keep walking 5-10 mins you'll reach Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hague Sophia. The tram stop at the top of the hill will take you there if you dont fancy walking. Cross the road at the tram stop for the Grand Bazarre for some serious shopping. To the left of the tram stop accros the road is a university, if you head toward it and bear right for a few hundred yards until you reach a long road with shops and head down (right) any of the small side streets and keep walking down it will bring you out by the Spice Market and Galata Bridge, like the Grand Bazarre outside great way to see locals going about their daily routines, hilly but amazing atomosphere.

two of us stayed at this hotel as part of a package of 3 nights bed and breakfast with two days sightseeing which apart from the bad weather was a good choice for our first time in Istanbul.
we arrived late night but were happy to receive a warm welcome.we decided on a few beers at the tiny bar before going to the room. the beers and drinks all over the tourist areas of Istanbul are expensive (9 Turkish for 33 cl Efes)compared to other parts of turkey.i would compare it with visiting London when we live in the midlands.
the hotel was located about a 10 minute walk uphill to the grand bazaar and maybe 20 to 30 mins to the blue mosque so the location was good.
we were impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the hotel and found our room to be really nice with good quality furnishings and comfy bed and the shower room was lovely with a power shower. there was plenty of hot water , fluffy towels and a good selection of toiletries.
our room was on the 3 rd floor on the side st and there was noise during the night from what looked like a bakery across the road loading delivery vans.
breakfast was OK but no proper cooked breakfast here.
the staff at the hotel were very helpful and even had umbrellas for us as we departed on our walking tour of old Istanbul. it was a nice touch as it was pouring with rain.
in the evening after our tour we were wondering which restaurant to go to for a fish supper and the hotel did recommend a couple and arranged for us to be collected and dropped off back at the hotel (only a few mins away) which was a free service from the restaurant.the name of it was Hos Sedra(the s had a squiggle)the meal was really nice and the fish very fresh. the atmosphere was good as it had many locals in.The owner was really nice to us and everything looked clean. service was prompt.
i couldn't fault the hotel as it was clear they had pride in the hotel. on the final night we had a early morning departure (4 am) and the manager was there to say goodbye and check our room before we left.all in all we would stay there again if visiting the old city.
