“A Great Experience”
Reviewed 30 May 2014 via mobile

My daughter and I signed up for the evening cooking class. It is really fun! We were part of a group of ten persons, and together we cooked a five course meal. The highlight was the main course: beef-and-lamb-stuffed eggplant! The whole experience takes about four hours and is totally worth every minute.

“Chop the Garlic, Roll the Dolmades, and Sip the Wine”
Reviewed 22 May 2014

Had a wonderful time learning how to make delicious Turkish food. The best was the red lentil soup. Also learned some new skills -- and I'm a very experienced cook. Did you know throwing garlic cloves into boiling water for a minutes makes the skins come off easier? Besides learning how to cook a new meal -- met two lovely Danish couples. It was a delightful learning experience followed by excellent food, wine and company. Gotta try it.

“Good food, not too standars”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

Went here for lunch. There is a set menu, (no problem for me) we got 4 courses. Each of them special, very uncommon tastes, but definitely nice.
Good service, relaxing music

“Great food and service”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

Very close to the Blue Mosque, this is not an authentic Turkish experience...all the diners when we were there were middle class tourists, but frankly in this case who cares?

The food was fantastic: warm yoghurt and mint soup to start, slow cooked green beans in garlic, onion and tomato then Aubergine stuffed with beef and lamb followed by figs for dessert.

Service was great: informal, friendly, knowledgable and efficient.

Go there! You'll struggle to find better food.

“Fun Cooking Class...Delicious Food!”
Reviewed 27 March 2014

Cooking Alaturka is a four-hour Turkish cooking course. Eveline and her chef, Feyzi, showed us how to cook a five-course authentic Turkish dinner, which included hot yogurt soup with mint; green runner beans; zucchini patties with herbs and cheese; split belly eggplant stuffed with minced lamb and beef. For dessert, we cooked walnut-stuffed Turkish figs in syrup covered with grated coconut. Everything was so delicious. I highly recommend this cooking adventure!
