We stayed there last weekend before a cruise and loved our stay for a number of reasons. Location x 3. The wonderful staff. Comfortable room with A/C. The incredible breakfast complete with a bee honeycomb, exotic fruit, eggs to order, etc. I'll go back in a heartbeat.

The Sura Hotel is a very well run establishment in the very heart of the Sultanahmet area..literally minutes walk from the Blue Mosque And Ayya Sofia..with the Topkapi Palace a few more minutes stroll.
The rooms are a decent size, and clean and well equiped.
Our room had a balcony with views of the Mosque, very atmospheric and romantic.
The staff are exceptional, Seda and her front of house staff are charm itself and very keen to do all they can to make your stay comfortable...as is the very charismatic head waiter in the hotel's restaurant..
The hotel is still relatively new, but is already a very enjoyable and restful experience.
It shows the warmth and courtesy that is characteristic of the people of Turkey. .

Room Tip: There are rooms at the back of the hotel overlooking the gardens which are amazingly quiet and which...

Having stayed at a pretty poor hotel initially (will remain nameless here), I decided to check in at Sura for the latter part of the trip. I couldn't be happier with my stay, with the staff making every effort to make sure of same. From front of house to cleaning staff to cooks and waiters, each exuded a level of professionalism and personality of which other establishments should take note.
It's location is its strongest feature, just steps from the metro stop at Sultanahmet and with a wonderful view of the Blue Mosque. The eateries and gym facilities rank highly and the rooms, while quirky, were extremely comfortable.

This hotel describes itself as a design hotel which normally means it looks odd and is not designed for humans. This hotel is extremely comfortable the beds and chairs are great. Our room had a little a balcony on the garden side and it is a nice place to relax in fresh air away from the hustle of Sultanahmet. Taxis may not know the hotel (every taxi knows Ayasofia and it is a short walk) but grab a name card with a little map on the back from reception. Whilst your there ask for advice, have them book a theatre performance, request breakfast at 1pm because your felling unwell or just say hello. We found that they did all of this and more. Hotels can be nice even good but staff make them and your stay great. It is a great hotel.

I Stayed at the Sura Hotel with my fiancee at the end of four leg trip through Turkey for 2 nights before we flew home. We had stayed at another really good hotel in sultanahmet the week before upon our arrival in Turkey, but figured we would try somewhere different, maybe a little "higher end" to treat ourselves before heading home. The Sura did not disappoint, the service was very attentive the property itself has a really nice feel from the interesting entry and decor throughout the hotel, the comfortable lobby and nice outdoor garden area where you can have your afternoon tea.
The highlight was without a doubt the amazing beds they have at the hotel. At least for me at the end of a long trip it was really nice having a bed that you didn't want to get out of in the morning.
They also had nice small touches that made for a nicer stay, like the very good complimentary espresso machines in the room, so you could have your morning pick me up before heading out for the day.
Overall I think the Sura did not disappoint and at its price-point was a good value especially if you are looking for a boutique hotel with a cool vibe in Istanbul.

Room Tip: The rooms on the back side of the hotel have small terraces that overlook the very pretty rooftop ga...

It is located walking distance to sights like Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque. It is also near a tram station (Sultanhamet) so it makes going around Istanbul easy.

The food during breakfast was commendable compared to other hotels I stayed at and the kebabs in their restaurant was just awesome (the best I had in Turkey)!

The rooms are nice and new with each floor having a theme (ours was silver). Their bed will soak you in into a deep sleep. The guest relations and staff also are great and made our stay as pleasant as possible. Thanks Mediterra Holidays for booking us in this hotel!

Room Tip: Some rooms have a small terrace

Our original hotel plans for Istanbul fell through due to email miscommunication.(there is a lesson there) so 36 hours prior to our planned arrival I turned to Trip Advisor for a fall back. The Sura was in a good location, had solid reviews and nice pictures so I booked it on line and had a confirmation within minutes.

The flight to Istanbul on Turkish Air was flawless; we cleared visa, immigration and baggage within 30 minutes and joined the queue for a cab into the city. When we arrived in Sultanhamet, the cabbie said that due to closed streets he couldn’t take us to the hotel but would drop us off “100 meters” away. Bottom line, we found ourselves a half mile away with more luggage than we could manage. I called the hotel, explained our predicament and they sent a porter to rescue us and earn our eternal gratitude.

The hotel is on an obscure side-street but only a few minutes walk from the heart of Sultanhamet. The garden rooms feature a lovely outdoor seating area that adds to the room. It also lets you hear the call to prayers and the courtship rituals of Istanbul’s gazillion feral cats.

The rooms are as beautiful as advertised, wonderfully equipped. Clean and spacious. I didn’t love the bathroom layout, but it was a question of taste.

There are numerous cafes in the immediate area, as well as a small shopette and barbershop. The hotel offers several eateries as well as a 10 percent discount for guests. The hotel has a well equipped fitness center if you don’t get your cardio climbing the local hills.

Room Tip: Each floor has its own design motif featuring different colors for different effect. (i.e. relaxatio...
