This place is #1 in my books.
When we first walked in, we felt a very warm welcome. We gave them our information and told us to go relax in the lobby, enjoy some food and a glass of wine. Once our room was done, they came and sat with us. Gave us our keys and sent us on our way to our room. We had room 601. Was a gorgeous room with a fantastic view with a balcony.
The Terrace was just upstairs from us. Breathtaking view. You can see the whole city! The breakfast buffet was superb. The food was fresh and all the preservatives were home made. The breads to die for! I never seen fresh honeycomb served for breakfast but they did here. The cheese and olives platers were mouth watering. Fresh Orange Juice. Great coffee!!! One morning I even asked for eggs over easy and they did it for me. No questions asked. The staff bent over backwards. They were very accommodating.
When we hung up the make up room sign, the room was done when we came back from breakfast. Don't know how they pulled that one off everyday!!! They were very helpful with information on site seeing. Everything is there within 15 to 20 minutes of walking. The cafe downstairs had a great menu. One evening they booked us for dinner at their sister hotel the Orient Express, That restaurant was called Imbat and was located on the terrace. We asked the staff at our hotel to see if we can have steaks that evening. This was not on the menu but...we had 2 fantastic steaks prepared to perfection. The Terrace view was awesome. Perfect evening.
If you have to book a taxi do so from the front desk. They deal with, in my opinion, the most honest taxi company in Istanbul. Why I say that; "I booked a cab to go down town for dinner to meet local friends. Traffic is real heavy everywhere. My wife and I were in a hurry to exit the cab. I forgot my camera on the back seat! As we sat down for dinner, I noticed that I forgot the camera in the cab. Before panic set in, along comes the cab driver walking towards the restaurant with the camera in hand. This was a miracle!" Needless to say, I gave him a greattt Tip!
If I had to go again, Neorion is the place to stay! I have posted a few pics from a breathtaking view on the Terrace.
