When my wife booked 5 nights in superior room I thought it was a little pricy for us. By the time we left I was glad she did :) As many already noted - convenient location, close to many of old city attractions. Our room was facing west on the top(?) floor, so we enjoyed lush sunsets with exotic city skyline. Don't miss nice feature - rooftop with view of Bosporus and Galata. They would even bring you wine there, real treat! Spacious room, well designed bathroom. And staff made our stay even a better experience - so much that we even decided to note their names: Fatih Gozusulu, Fatih Havaci, Sule and Lori - thank you guys! Our impressions of Turkey and Neorion are better because of you!

Room Tip: superior rooms apparently have a better view. Ours did.

We had asked for a view upon arrival. Ut there were none available. The hotel did upgrade us the next night to room with view. Fatih (there are two with the name) were extremely helpful and welcoming. The guest relations lady goes over a map of the City to help assist your needs. The location is 10 minutes from the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. The Hotel terrace view is very nice and Sercan was a darling. Breakfast very filling and lunch is also included. Highly recommended.

My family and I traveled within Turkey for 12 days. While Istanbul was definitely one of the biggest highlights of our tour, our visit was made even more wonderful thanks to our stay at the Neorion Hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Spice Bazaar and Galata Bridge. A visit to other famous attractions in the old city can also be managed on foot but there is a tram line very close to the hotel that can also take you there for a mere 3TL (one-way). There are many good cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops and 7-11s in the neighborhood. I doubt you would have to walk too far for anything!
The public areas of the hotel (sitting area with complimentary laptops for guest-use, the breakfast room, the roof top deck with room service and the spa) as well as the guest rooms are all well appointed and always kept neat and clean. We started each day with the most scrumptious breakfast buffet to be found anywhere in the Old City. We returned in the evening to an equally good complimentary Mezze buffet in the breakfast room itself. The view from the roof top deck was always a welcome sight: by day and by night. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the Bosphorus with Turkish tea here. I must also mention the relaxed hours we spent in the Hamam, Sauna, Jacuzzi and the little pool after long days of sight seeing.
Whether it was a request for an ironing board in our room or a 6 am checkout, the staff always delivered with a smile. They even packed us breakfast for our early morning checkout!
I doubt there is another hotel in all of Istanbul with such a wonderful staff that puts their best foot forward. And that's why, on our next trip, we are definitely coming back to the Neorion!

Room Tip: Our family stayed in 2 rooms on the 6th floor (604 & 605). While neither had views to speak of...

We enjoyed a three-night stay in late May and highly recommend Neorion for visitors to Istanbul. It lived up to all our expectations: the location in Sirkeci is a 10-minute stroll to the main Sultanahmet sights as well as the Eminonu ferry pier and Spice Market; and there are many excellent neary restaurants on charming streets.

The smiling hardworking staff cannot be more service-oriented. Loreta and the two Fatihs are very professional yet warm and approachable. Be sure to take advantage of the substantial discount for paying in cash.

We were given our requested high-floor room which was spacious with two lovely large windows . We really enjoyed our bonus view of the Suleymaniye Mosque. The room itself was well-appointed, with very comfortable beds and a lot of lovely light.. We do not like the excessive warmth of comforters and prefer to have a top sheet and blanket. No problem; readily available. Unlike at many hotels, sufficient hangers were provided. The windows are well insulated from noise, and I slept very soundly every night.

There is an excellent breakfast buffet and mezes available throughout the day, as well as a wonderful rooftop terrace with fabulous views of the Marmara and modern city looking north and old city looking west and south with drink service available, as well as comfy loungers, chairs and umbrellas for shade.

The guest relations people made dinner reservations for us - which assured lovely outdoor tables at both Pasazade and Imbat - and saved us a futile trip to the Military Museum when the mehter military band was not to perform until the next afternoon. (A definite must-see recommend!)

One small nit: we had to wait 25 minutes for our provided transportation to the hotel while others were set off long before us. After an overnight flight and second flight, this was very exhausting.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor room. We stayed on the fifth floor and enjoyed the gorgeous views and light.

We decided to stay is a different neighbourhood of Istanbul but still not too far away from our comfort zone of Sultanahmet.

The Neorion was picked because of reviews on various sites and we were not disappointed. What an excellent hotel! Great staff, good bed, lovely breakfast. The roof terrace is a great spot to have a drink at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Fab views.

The location was also perfect for what we wanted to see on this trip so could walk everywhere. The tram is very close by though so we could have gone far further afield.

We love Istanbul so will be back and will definitely return to the Neorion.

Room Tip: Try to get a room up above the second floor so you can people watch.

My wife and I enjoy staying at charming boutique hotels, as opposed to large chain hotels. The Neorion Hotel is a wonderfully charming first class boutique hotel. Great location in the old city. Superb, modern and very well kept property with a rooftop terrace that has a marvelous view of Istanbul. My wife and I spent many late nights on the terrace drinking wine and enjoying the view.

The breakfast and afternoon snacks are outstanding and included in the room rate.

The hotel staff are all great representatives of the hotel and Turkey -- very warm, friendly and very helpful. The Neorion Hotel provides Wonderful Turkish Hospitality; we certainly felt very welcomed at the Neorion.

My wife and I will return to again visit Istanbul, and we will definitely stay at this charming first class boutique hotel.

Once I arrived I understood why so many people recommend this hotel: the service is outstanding. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome. The single room I had was comfortable, and all the main sights are within walking distance.
