Great hotel near major attractions

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 27 Dec 2016
We have just come back from our trip to Istanbul after staying at this boutique hotel for 6 nights. The hotel is at a 10 minutes' walk from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The staff is multi-linguistic and very helpful. They made every effort to make our stay comfortable as we were a group of 3 adults and a 4 years-old child. Highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, professional staff and close proximity to major attractions in Istanbul.

Sultans Royal Hotel is totally weak, narrow rooms, Heating is so bad. Unfortunately is not considered more than an apartment I don't know how this bad place receive a good evaluation unless there is cheating in the evaluation The hotel on a slope and far from Sultan Ahmed Mosque. In the Future I will never consider that bad place.

Loses points for a below par breakfast spread and no swimming pool. The location and service were up to scratch but the local restuarants over charge because of the number of hotels and tourists. You have to take a walk to find more reasonable eats. Convenient to reach the bazaar and landmarks.

The Sultans Royal is nothing like its name. It is a cozy inn with clean rooms, a decent breakfast, and very good and friendly service. Good location. Close to everything. Very reasonable, and many rooms have balconies.

Room tip: Ask for an upper floor with a balcony

A beautiful hotel with great staff that go the Xtra mile to look after you. The price is right and the room was very very nice with nice bathroom. I would say that this is one of the top hotels in Istanbul!!!

We needed a short stay option in the old area of Sultanahmet and this proved to be an excellent choice. Upon arrival, mine host, Farouk, was just what you need when you arrive in Istanbul. He was attentive to our needs, explained the facilities of the hotel and told us we had his best room #301. We took the lift to the third floor and our room, one of only two on the top floor, was right in front of us. The room was spacious, had all the facilities required and a private roof terrace all to ourselves. Breakfast the next morning was unbelievable. More like what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel and staff were excellent.

Room tip: Ask for Room 301.
