“A neat small hotel with friendly and courteous staff”
Reviewed 1 April 2012

This nice, relatively new small hotel is located in the Sultanahmet tourist part of the city. The room was clean and comfortable. The family-run hotel staff were friendly and courteous offering professional service and good advice regarding what to do and where to go during your stay. Great value for the price and excellent overall experience--definitely would recommend it to my friends.

We were very pleased with service and rooms offered at this hotel. First of all, we've booked a budget room for 2 nights. When we arrived, hotel manager said all budget rooms were occupied and proposed us to stay at a standard room at no extra cost! He was there to fulfill any request we had.

Standard rooms are not big, but very clean and comfortable. Bathroom furniture is new, everything is working. There is a tea set at each room with 5-6 different options for tea. We were served excellent tea at the hotel lobby at no additional cost.

I've been in many hotels before Blue Istanbul. I can mention it for great service and great value. Location is perfect, some shops and restaurants are a stone away from the hotel. Choose it if you need a clean and quiet hotel at a good price!

Room Tip: 404 is good

The hotel is brand new, situated in the very heart of Old Istanbul just few minutes away from the famous Blue Mosque. Hotel staff is very friendly - the make you feel at home. It's incredible how they do it!
Me myself I am working in the hotel busines and I travel a lot, but this hotel is really incredible - one of the best I have ever seen.
And what is on the most important points I would like to mention is the cleanliness of the hotel - room is cleaned perfectly!
My next stay for sure will be spent in Blue Istanbul hotel.

I stayed inthis hotel for 3 nights and was satisfied veryyyy much. All staffs including owner were very kind, helpfull and sociable to me. I was pleasant very much to talk with all of them. The breakfast, room facilities were also very new , clean and perfect. I was informed this hotel was just newly open inlast Dec., so everything was new and clean. If you stay inthis hotel you can go to Blue Moscque, Aya Sofia on foot within several minutes. And also this hotel is located very near from the Trambai Station within a few minutes on foot. I want to recommend to stay in this hotel in every season.

Room Tip: Sea View room is recommendable.

Spent one night here at the end of our Turkey trip and by far the best value. Location for a tourist can't be beat (3 blocks from the Blue mosque). The hotel was small and quaint and the reception you get, especially flying in on a cold winter day, was lovely. The rooms are small, but the bathroom was everything I love about hotel bathrooms :-). Lastly, we opted for a view of the Bosphorus and a view we got. That in itself was worth the stay. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here!

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for the view. It's well worth it

The Blue Istanbul Hotel is Indeed a little gem that made my staying in Istanbul a very pleasant one.
Centrally located, quiet, spotlessly clean, I was so pleased to find the rooms and bathrooms in pristine conditions, such a treat after long sightseeing days. Breakfast it’s a simple selection of sweet and savory but enough to start the day (at least for me).
The staff was very attentive, discreet and proactive in ensuring I had a nice stay.
Although the hotel provides a range of tours, services, transfer, etc. this never mentioned once, though when I requested a transfer to the airport (only €12 to Sabiha Gökçen with the shuttle bus) this was arranged promptly and efficiently.
Overall I would not have any hesitation in recommending this hotel to others and I will certainly stay there again next time I’ll visit Istanbul.

Room Tip: Aim for the higher floors, as the food aroma tend to expand to the lower levels from the basement wh...

Traveled with my parents to Istanbul from 1/24 to 2/1 and we all agree from day one that this was the perfect hotel for us. It was clean, safe, the staff (who became more like friends) were fantastic. Nice breakfast in the AM (boiled eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, bread cheese, cereal, tea/coffee). Short walking distance to Topkopi, Aya Sofia, a 15 minute walk to the Archaelogy Museum, Gulhane Park, 15 mins to Grand Bazaar and 5 min walk to metro which for 2 TL one way can take you to the European side. Close to the hotel is a "baqal" or small shop which has fresh bread daily, fruit, snacks, etc was 100 feet away. The restaurants the hotel recommended to us were actually quite good and fair priced. With the potential Snowmaggedon at the Ataturk Airport this week, the hotel manager offered to help us any way he could. Truly, a great experience. It was my parents' first visit out of the US. THANK YOU HOTEL BLUE!

Room Tip: We asked for the 3 budget room with sea view and were pleased. Size was more than fine since we bas...
