“Best location”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 via mobile

I stayed here 2 times already. The location is the best, its only a minute Wallking to Aya Sopia and Blue Mosque, and about 3 minutes Walk to Bacilica citern, its close to many tourist attraction. I stayed in 6 dormitory which for me, it Would be good idea IF They reduce the dorm to 4 dormitory because the Room is small. So that the traveller have enough soal for their Travel bag. The Staff are friendly and helpful With information. I have No problem during My Stay here. Well done

All staff are warm and kind. Very good manner of service. Location is the best. 5~10 minute walk to Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque. You can see sufi dance performance at the nearest restaurant in Arastar Bazzar at night.

We stay here for 4 nights, and like the place, the staff and the position of the hotel, at 5 minutes walking from Blue Mosque. Rooms are nice and clean, breakfast good and they have a few free parking places in front of the guesthouse.

I visited Istanbul from 6-11 April, 2014, with my wife and baby. City is incredible but a bit expensive compared to other destinations. I stayed in Yakamoz guest house just at the footsteps of Blue mosque and all other attractions are 10 minutes walk away. Its just 5 minutes walk to SULTANAHMET tram stop (T-1). Its basic, simple and nice place for budget travelers. Room was clean and a bit spacy keeping in mind Istanbul rooms. Breakfast was same throughout the stay but was simple and good. Really enjoyed staying there and recommended!!!

Room Tip: Usually rooms don't have see view so keep in mind.

Visited Yakamoz guesthouse with my friend for long weekend. We were warmly wellcomed by receptionist even late time. Room was spacious but next to entrance so some voices could be heard from there and there were no view. That did not matter so much due we injoied seeing city and just dropped to horel just for sleep. Location is excellent near all the most important sighseeing places and Sultanahmet tramstop. The area too is safe and nice and guethouse was relative easy to find.

The room with rearview is superb for the price; extra thanks to the owner, Mustafa for the friendly and helpful attitude. We had a nice one night stay and the breakfast is quite fresh and enough as included in the price

This being my first trip to Istanbul, and not knowing any Turkish, I was a little nervous about staying in a tiny little hostel. Completely unfounded nervousness. This was an amazing hostel that deserves attention.

STAFF: 24-hour reception which is great, but that's only a minor perk compared to the rest of the staff. The staff was incredible! They were so friendly and personable, more so than any other hostel I've ever stayed at. Instead of hanging out in my room as usual, I found myself hanging out in the reception area a lot, just chatting with the guys there. They were a lot of fun to hang out with and they offered me free tea all the time.

FACILITIES: Sparse, but decent. Free breakfast was nice. Never had a problem with the WiFi, which was great.

SECURITY: Lockers in-room (provide your own lock). That's all I really need in a room.

ATMOSPHERE: See my comments about the staff. Great atmosphere, plus I made a few friends there.

LOCATION: Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are only 2 minutes away. Sultanahmet tram station only 3 minutes. Grand Bazaar an easy walk, or two tram stops away. AMAZING location for the price.

CLEANLINESS: My shower left a lot to be desired, plus it didn't look like they cleaned under the beds often, but the bed itself was clean.

VALUE FOR MONEY: So totally worth it. Such a low price for such an amazing experience. My first trip to Istanbul was so amazing, the hostel being one of the high points! If I make it back to Istanbul in the future, Yakamoz will be the only hostel I will consider. You guys rock!
