A great hotel right in the middle of all the ket attractions, such as The Basillica Cistern, The Hagia Sofia, The Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Dolmabache Palace, The Grand Bazar, the Egyptian Bazar and the main square. All within walking distance.

Ask for a room over looking the Main Street at the front of the hotel and you will have a view of the Hagia Sofia. We didn't realise this and had a rear view overlooking the car park.

Excellent service and rooms were very clean and modern (superior room). I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms to the front of the hotel have a view of Hagia Sofia.

Our last hotel on the trip. Position for all the key sites is perfect. Blue mosque, Topkapi Palace and the Basilica Cistern all 5-10 minutes away. Easy to return to the hotel during lunch breaks on the tour. Rooms excellent well serviced very clean. Breakfast could give more choice. Staff were excellent. Bar area very comfortable and the prices not extortionate. Wine is heavily taxed in Turkey.

Room Tip: House wine good value ,generous measures and a reasonable quality. Do take a boat trip well worth th...

Stunning hotel - modern & airy with large spacious rooms. Perfectly located in the Old City for all the sights we could glimpse the Blue Mosque from our room. Very comfortable beds & well equipped rooms only a small gripe was the aircon that was not working (not yet 'summer' ) but the fan was so at least the air circulated - it did not spoil our stay. Good varied breakfasts in the dining room which were topped up regularly.

Staff were polite & helpful & one bumped into us in the street & recommended a restaurant where the locals ate rather than the Tourist ones & took the trouble to show us where it was. We were not disappointed!

In a city filled with beautiful chaos, coming home to this hotel was nothing but a breath of fresh air. If you get a front room, you'll wake up to Hagia Sophia mosque & it's a beautiful site. The rooms were fab! Loved the bathroom too. Location is perfect for solo female travelers !

This hotel is perfectly situated just a block from the Cistern and the plaza for Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque.
Service was very good, breakfast nice, rooms lovely however when we arrived they hadn't yet turned on their a/c system throughout and our room was constantly running at 26 degrees which is quite warm for a comfortable stay (outside temp was around 25).
We asked over and over and over for someone to come adjust it cooler, they kept telling us they would send someone and to open the windows, which I did and then the temp got higher!
The last morning the girl at the counter said there was no way they could make it cooler as they didn't have the a/c turned on yet in the building (???). A cooler room would've made our whole experience so much better!

Room Tip: this property is only 3 floors...we had a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the Hagia Sophia, was am...

It's difficult for me to classify the Hagia Sophia Hotel as 'good' or 'bad'; the hotel is very modern, in a great location, with excellent amenities at a fairly affordable price. However I feel that it is harmed by the service level at the hotel which is highly variable.

It certainly didn't start well. My wife arrived late in the evening in Istanbul before I did and was told that she didn't have a reservation (which we clearly did). After calling me halfway around the world and me making a half dozen calls, the hotel admitted that we had a reservation but that they didn't have any rooms available. After a few more calls to our travel agency and getting the manager out of bed they suddenly found a room.

The Hotel Manager was the one person at the hotel we could rely upon to provide good service during our stay; other staff members were ambivalent for the most part.

Regarding the rooms, they are all large with modern equipment. There wasn't anything too much to say, some of the more interesting features where the TV being hidden in the mirror and the glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom (which can be separated by curtains) . When we first arrived we stayed at a room facing towards the Hagia Sophia which is a truly amazing view -- I got the feeling that these rooms were actively managed by staff for certain guests so be sure to ask for a room facing this direction as I don't think its a given that this will be provided.

It was a bit strange that some rooms where not on the same level as the elevator which required carrying luggage up a few stairs when we got to our floor number.
