I agree with the previous reviewers. The location is perfect....walking distance to the Galata Bridge, Topkapi, mosques, bazaar , ferries, and next door to the Cistern. The tram stop is very close. There are so many restaurants to choose from.
The hotel was absolutely fine, and good value for money . The rooms are modern , and clean, with lovely bathrooms and good shower pressure. , The breakfast was excellent, and we could have a freshly made omelette instead of the other buffet egg choices. The bar is cosy and comfortable and the staff throughout were helpful and friendly.
In mid November , the weather was fairly mild, but with a forecast of cooler days ahead.
Our room was very hot......we set the temperature at 21 degrees but couldnt get it to go lower than 24 degrees . We asked about this at reception and were told it would be fixed.......the solution was that they opened the windows !!!.......then we were told that as its "winter" the a/c is turned off !!!!. We tried leaving the fan on and opening the windows (thankfully no insects)......its safe to do that as they only open a few inches.......but that didnt really help ....it was still 25 /26 degrees. By night 4 we found the best thing to do was to leave the windows open and the fan switched off. This I presume is only a problem between seasons.......

Behind the hotel there's a vacant site and it looks as though building work is about to start........something to check on.........
