“Beautiful Tiles”
Reviewed 7 November 2012

These tiles are truly beautiful & different. They have been made in the same way for hundreds of years. Just look your choice over very carefully before they pack it. Ours had a couple of chips in it that we didn't see before they packed it

“Superb selection and quality”
Reviewed 1 May 2012

The best place for Iznik tiles: there are three shops, two are very close to the Four Seasons Sultanahmet. There are four floors and a basement display area of the BEST classic and contemporary tiles/ceramics you will see in Istanbul.
They are relatively costly, which reflects the very high quality and skill of the artists: having said that recent reviews in Verandah and Achitectural Digest extoll the beauty and desirability of these pieces.
Beat a path to their door: you will not be dissappointed!

I first fell in love with Islamic ceramics many years ago, when I visited the great Mosques of Istanbul and was held spellbound, literally, by the beauty of the 16th century tiles that grace their walls and ceilings. More recently I discovered Iznik Classics in Istanbul where a superior and absolutely stunning creation of these traditional ceramics, recreated by contemporary artists, are sold. Anyone who appreciates beautiful things will find a visit to their showrooms an unforgetable experience. You immediately feel you are in the presence of something special, on an altogether higher level of quality than elsewhere. Unmistakenly there is a spiritual dimension to their beauty. The hospitality of owner and staff is exquisite, in keeping with their treasures.

“By far the best selection of classic an modern turkish ceramics both from the point of view of quality and price.”
Reviewed 28 October 2011

Iznik Classics is a small chain of family owned specialty stores based in the Sultan Ahmed area of Istanbul with an outlet in the Covered Bazar.
They sell a broad range of ceramic wares with emphasis on copies of the classical Iznik period. Theer is a broad range of quality and price ranging from the collectible to easily affordable ware for use or gifts.
The company is the retailer for the most respected ceramacists in Turkey and the owners are skilled counselors on everything from quality to value - absolutely no hint of presure selling. I have dealt with them for years and recommend them highly.

“Beautiful ceramics! The highest quality.”
Reviewed 28 October 2011

Turkish ceramics of the 16th and 17th century were among the greatest ceramic works of art ever produced. Only the richest collectors can afford originals, whose prices are skyrocketing. Fortunately, in recent decades good reproductions have appeared. Iznik Classics has supported and sells the work of the very best makers of these reproductions in particular Adnan Hoca, Meliha Coskun and the Iznik Vakif (Foundation.) Their work costs more than the run-of-the-mill ceramics found in the Great Covered Bazaar and elsewhere. But the great difference in quality of raw materials, production and design make the Iznik Classics products worthwhile for the discriminating buyer.
