This hotel is economical and only one stop from the Taksim station, making it a reasonable choice for those who want to be close but not pay the Square prices. Be aware that the pool and hot tub are part of the spa and NOT included in the price of the room. I ate a fine meal ( a wrap) in their restaurant, which was not over priced. The day concierge was not good with english and had no area map to give out.....the first that has happened in our three week trip. Luckily, the evening concierge was very helpful and went out of her way to find a difficult to find bar in Taksim for me. The room was quite spacious, nice large beds, clean and bathroom was average. If arriving by taxi, be sure to give him an explicit address as this hotel is easy to miss and on a very busy street.

Room Tip: elevator, so why not go higher to avoid the street noise?

This hotel is okay for a short stay. Rooms are clean, but not very attractive. It's in a good location a short walk from the Metro and near to Taksim Square. Also very close to the conference centre.

Breakfast was pretty bad with only a small selection. Several of my colleagues had a problem with the shower although mine was fine.

Good service from the staff I met. On the whole it was good value for money.

This hotel is like it looks in photos. It was recently refurbished and is installed in an old/small building. It has a small cafeteria in the first floor and the staff is friendly. It is very well located at 50 meters from Osmanbey metro station and at a walking distance (7 minutes) from Istanbul Conference Centre and Hilton. It is at a walk distance (15 minutes) from Taksim Square, though one can take the metro. The neighbourhood has many restaurants and cafes, as is quite safe.
There is a nice cafe in front of the hotel where one can have a sandwich or drink even when arriving late.
Clean and fair, this hotel has a very good value for the price. It is recommended for travellers staying on business/leisure, looking for a fair stay. It is not luxury, but is quite nice.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back side are less noisy. Rooms in the back and second floor have acces to a nice balco...

So noisy that I coulldn't sleep and the curtain should be darker.Except that and considering a price below 60 euros is great, although Soultanahmet area is about 45 minutes away and you need 9x2=18 TL per person to get there cause you need to use Metro,Fanicular and Tram!Safe location near Rumeli Caddesi street(fashion shops and food chains) and near metro station.A nice doner place and a bakery shop is also near the hotel.Bad thing there wasn't any supermarkets close. As for the cleaning it could be much better but for 45 euros per night it was nice!Another bad thing is that the air-condition wasn't working.

Room Tip: demand to stay up or at the back

For those of you who prefer not to stay in the historic area of Istanbul or in the very crowded and not so clean area of Taksim square, this area is great!
The hotel itself is a very small building in 7 floors each having 4 rooms. There is only 1 elevator serving the entire hotel which in times may cause some delay considering all the guests and service people use this one elevator.
The entrance leads to a restaurant downstairs which serves breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is just OK and nothing but average. there is also some stairs to the left of the entrance which leads to a very small lobby and the reception.
The personnel are kind and welcoming but almost none of them speaks good English which is going to be your everyday problem while staying in Istanbul and trying to communicate with people.
The rooms are rather small so unless there is one or two of you staying in one room don't think of asking for an extra bed. On the other hand rooms are really clean and the bathroom is enough spacious.
There are no Ironing facilities in the room which can be a consideration. There is a sauna which i never used and they said it's free of charge. There is also a Jacuzzi for which you will be charged.
The hotel is like 70 meters from Osmanbey Metro Entrance. During our stay we have used Metro, Bus and Taxi. In my opinion using the Metro is the best way of getting around especially during the peak hours. Buses are most of the time too crowded and they have a lot of stops which makes them a slow way of transportation. Using Taxis in the early morning and late nights was my preferable way knowing that they are not too expensive.
Another point to mention is that we did the reservation through Booking.com but eventually found out that a direct reservation could be less expensive. So if you get a chance try directly calling the hotel and check the prices before making a decision.

This hotel is definitely a 3star range, but some may even call it 2-star. It's certainly clean enough and it's in a good location, but it's not at the level of a holiday inn. It's closer to the level of a red-roof inn or an ibis hotel. It has free internet, which is a plus. The room is perfectly clean, but there are no amenities--not even a glass to brush your teeth. There is shower gel, no soap. The bed is comfortable, and the TV is actually very nice because it's satelite TV. However, you need to understand turkish or arabic to take advantage of the hundreds of channels. Only about 3 english speaking channels. The breakfast is decent, but nothing special. If you are on a budget, this is a pretty reasonable place. If you're expecting a nice place at the level of the marriott or hyatt, this certainly isn't it. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and fluent in English. The location is far away from the main historical sites such as the blue mosque, etc. It's further away from the airport than the historical sites. I paid 80 euro for one night mid week. Thankfully, they have air conditioning.
