Very close to blue mosque. Serdar the manager is very helpful won't say " no" to most of the requests. Other receptionists Mert is helpful but can sometime have problem understanding English. Buffet breakfast was good and had enough variety. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

4th trip to Istanbul, first stay at the Ferman Sultan....very pleased. Location was great, close enough to the Blue Mosque/Aya Sofia but also really close to the grand bazaar. Front desk staff (esp Serdar) were absolutely fantastic! Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was wonderful, and the elevator up to the roof for a glass of wine was nice after a long day of walking! Highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: the suite rooms are lovely - big rooms, huge bathrooms and jet tubs!

The hotel is very near the most important places of the Town.
Simple, good, clean. The breakfast is very good.
A 50% of the relax you can enjoy there is due to the kindness and professionalism of Mr. Mert.

Many Thanks to Serdar (front person) who is trying his best to make sure you are confurtable during your stay . Also thanks to Mahmood and Murat and few others (which unfortunatly i cant remember their name ) .And the Lady who clean rooms every morning .

When i arrived in istanbul i spend tow night in diffrent places ,then i found this hotel with planning to stay only one night there but i stayed until my last day in Istanbul .
A reasonable place (from 100TL up including breakfast) to stay in istanbul ,its close to main historical area ,like Blue mosque ,Ayasufiya,Turkish Bath , Topkapi Palace ,Grand bazar ,Beyazit ,etc ...

A compact ,cute boutique hotel with few type of rooms , nice reforms ,where each room have its own furnishing .

I really enjoyed my breakfast on roof top terrace with the view of Bosphorus and Blue mosque .

Room Tip: Rooms in secound floor and up are better .

our stay in Ferman Sultan has been wonderful, we booked 9 rooms altogether during our stay from 6 th to 11th of february 2013 and nothing else but praised to all the staff and especially to Mr sardar for accomodating to all our needs.
The hotel is a boutique type which has only 19 rooms and it is just nice for us since we are in a group of 17 pax.
We really feel at homec during our stay .
Mr sardar is very accomodating in making sure that we gonna have a pleasent stay there.
the location of the hotel is very near to the historial area ie sultanhmet area where we can just take a walk to see all the historical sites there.
the hotel also is good far a family retreat since the room is spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 kids.
i would recommend to all to stay in this hotel if you are in istanbul.
thank you sardar

My first experience in Istanbul made all the more pleasurable with the help of Serdar, the kind staff, and the comfortable setting of the Ferman. The location in Fatih is perfect for seeing the Old City on foot... taxis were always there in moments to take us where we wanted elsewhere. We felt it was an excellent value, had no complaints about the terrace with view breakfast, which to us always provided something tasty to fuel us for the morning. Great memory upon arrival was hearing my first evening prayer in Turkey on their roof top terrace, glass of chilled white şarap, and a gorgeous Istanbul sunset. Much more we could not ask for. teşekkür ederim/ kislars carol & sand
