The room has amazing views , it has high ceilings and its also close to historical places. The attention of details are smilar to 5 star hotels and we really enjoyed our stay there. Free internet , Free transfer and the price of the hotel for what you get was great

Hotel was lovely had a fantastic room with an amazing view off our terrace. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, customer service was excellent.plenty of choice for breakfast. Can't wait to go back .Everywhere was in walking distance we walked up and down the hill daily and didn't find it a problem,on arrival we did think initially the surrounding area looked daunting however we were in the old town of Sultanahmet and found everyone to be very friendly .ideal location ! thank you for making our stay memorable .highly recommended

It’s probably the first time I was so disappointed by the hotel. After reading the reviews, I was prepared that it’s located in the middle of slum, but it was described like a gem in a dunghill. What I didn’t expect was the smell… like we were living at the scrap yard. The aroma of a burned rubber was everywhere, it was about impossible to open the window. As a result – runny nose and sore throat next morning for both of us. The quality of water was also poor – it was not recommended to drink (there was a warning from the hotel). Even so, there was no free drinking water offered by the hotel.
We intentionally booked for a presidential (“sultan”) suite, and I expected a reasonable level of comfort in it. No. There was a personal hammam on the first level, but the water was only warm, not hot, the warming system didn’t work, so there were no way using it. There was a restaurant located door to door with our room, and we were waked up by the noise from there at 5AM. The doorbell (the door to the hotel was always closed because of the neighborhood) was ringing until late night. The toilet and the shower were surprisingly distributed over two floors – the hand shower at the first, the hairdryer and the mirror – on the second (I haven’t got the point to put the hairdryer in the toilet). To use a safe I had to lie down in the cabinet (it was screwed to the floor and turned 90 degrees counterclockwise).
The reason why I chose this hotel was the view. It was really spectacular, at least the upper part of it. Tip #1 - don’t look down. Tip #2 - delay your breathing.
The breakfast was also very modest, with cold “hot” dishes.
I rate the level of the hotel between 2 and 3 stars, which shouldn't cost 200 Euros I paid for one night. I wouldn’t recommend staying neither in this hotel nor in this area.

Don´t let yourself be misled by other comments you might read. The area is not the most shiny and restored one, but genuine and safe. And once you passed the hotel gate, it will be hard to find room for improvement, especially in this price category: friendly, familiar, clean - couldn´t ask for more, a real Istanbul experience!
