I can high recommend the hotel and the staff. It is situated next to the sightseeing points like Grand Bazar, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Galata Bridge and Golden Horn. The rooms are clean and there is a abudant supply for breakfast.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the HHK. The staff was able to arrange transportation to and from the airport for us. I did not think much of the old neighborhood as we pulled up to the hotel because of reading other TripAdvisor reviews. I knew that while the neighborhood didn't look great, it was safe and the hotel was modern. The location was within walking distance of major sights (be prepared for many hills). The hotel did not disappoint. The view from our room was excellent and so was the sun deck. We relaxed on the deck a few nights after long days of sightseeing. It was lovely to come back to such a calm oasis after being in the busy city all day. The staff was very welcoming and always helpful. They answered all of our random questions, gave us directions, made dinner reservations and even helped us secure football game tickets online.

The only drawback was having a room on the first floor. Although I did not request an upper floor room, next time I will. Our room could be a little noisy at night with the foot traffic of guests walking through the foyer outside our room.

The hotel is near to major touring places, we walked to most of the places after we got used to the area. The breakfast is very good, a lot of choices, the view is beatiful, we enjoyed to stay in the balcony every day. Hotel people were very freindly. Very good experience.

I've been to Istanbul about 30 or 40 times - and then this surprise.
A tradition hotel with all-modern facilities in a surrounding where
Istanbul is still unspoilt: the way it used to be decades ago.
Charming staff, a healthy breakfast with all varieties, centrally
located, and affordable. As a bonus: the splendid view! Good to
know that I have found a new ''regular'' hotel in this fascinating city.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet, because the location is quiet, but try to book a room with a view over the Go...

enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: ask for a privat hamam. its not so big as the otherone but still really nice.

The HHK Hotel is a lovely spot to stay. A stunning view, overall excellent, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms reflect the heritage buildings flair. Your close to the city yet far enough away to relax and enjoy your stay. We will for sure recommend the HHK Hotel!

Room Tip: Taxi drivers having a hard time finding the hotel, so make sure you bring a map ;)

The hotel is situated in a pretty run-down residential area, a 10-minutes walk from Galata Bridge, 5-minutes walk from the Spice Market. It was renovated two years ago. We stayed at the Presidential Suite, which spreads over two floors - the shower (sort of a private Hamam) on the ground floor, bedroom, living room, toilet and a terrace on the second floor.
Hotel Staff is wonderful, kind and willing to assist even in unusual requests. Warm hospitality, responsive service. Location is a bit off the tourist areas but not far, a bit hard to find, also by taxi drivers and despite the detailed instructions in Turkish given to us to show taxi drivers. However, we found the area quite pleasant, as you get to see "real life" around you.
The room is lacking a bit in details. For example, only one bed stand on a double bed; no place to put your toiletry bag near the sink; no proper handle on toilet door; no kettle to make tea or coffee in the room (although there is a mini-bar); no cushions on all chairs in the terrace.
