Very friendly staff for check-in.
The place is really small like a boutique hotel and the rooms are smaller than they look like on the pictures. Private bathrooms are very small and sometimes the sinks smell quite strongly.
Breakfast was included, but was also quite small with some bread, cereals and tea.
There are many great places around to eat or drink and also for sightseeing this is a great starting point.
I would recommend it for younger people as the area gets quite loud at night, but if you want to have a party weekend in Istanbul this is the perfect place to stay!

Stayed for 4 nights recently and bunk has everything we needed to enjoy our experience in Istanbul. Very good location near restaurants and nightlife. Also wakable distance to main interests. Staff very friendly and soo helpful! Made my stay even more cultural! Great breakfast and relax atmosphere. Even if its in a busy area it was very quiet in the hostel ans sleeping was not an issue. Arrived on the first night and in our room the AC was broken. They changed us to another room on the same night. Stylish and clean! Thanks to the bunk staff! Will come back.

We stayed in April. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Booked us a hammam and it's only a hostel! Very relaxed vibe, but super clean and comfortable. It's right in the heart of the bustling restaurant and bar scene. Hoping to go back again soon.

Room Tip: Go for shared shared bathroom. Top floor room felt more private and removed.

Stayed her for only 2 night with my 7 friends, and we had a very great experience. Staff very friendly and helpful. The lobby is small modern but very nice with a nice book collection and by the way, the sofa is veryyyy comfortable.. Room is clean and had a good bed, own light and storage. Breakfast available at the lobby every morning with a bread selection, egg, and coffee or tea.. Wifi is available with agood speed. Location is great, walking distance to Galata Tower, Taksim Square and the famous Istiklal Street. This #Bunk hostel is very recomended!

Room Tip: 1st or 2nd floor is best, you dont need "work out" too much

A friend and I stayed here during our time in Istanbul. We opted for the private room but would have been fine in a shared room. In the private room the bathroom is small, the glass is very thin, and the curtain is flimsy so only do this if you are not too worried about privacy. I ended up using the shared bathroom down the hall most of the time, including to shower, because they were nicer, bigger, and rarely occupied. The rooms are cute and furnished with all clean and new Ikea furniture. The rooms are a little small but comfortable. We are in our late 20s and wanted to be near bars, etc. and this was perfect! It was walking distance to a few streets that are blocked off from traffic and lined with fun bars that are packed with people. We heard amazing music, there were great prices, and all within walking distance to #bunk. I would highly suggest staying here if you are looking to sight see in Sultanahmet during the day but want to be able to go out at night. Its less conservative than Sultanahmet and there's better nightlife. #bunk is the best location for this. Also, breakfast was included and was good (mostly traditional Turkish breakfast) but there were some options. It definitely kept us full until lunch. Tip-ask the people working there were to get good kebabs, etc. They know they area well and gave us some great recommendations.

Room Tip: If you want a private room, choose the one with the terrace over the the one with the bathroom. The shared bathrooms are rarely occupied, are big and clean, lock for just one person so they are private, and don't have the odd smell that ensuite bathrooms do.
