A small hotel in the old city. Very clean, with a bright, welcoming lobby. The staff is very helpful and personable. Our room was smallish and a little dim, but comfortable. Breakfast on the top floor allows a great, sunny view & pretty good food. I'd gladly return.

With regards to the Magnaura, reckon my only complain was that there was nothing to complain about. A stones throw from historic sites, Aurben, Muhammer, and co ensure that your stay follows the "no worries" mantra.

To start off with, the rooms constitute an interior the Sultans would be proud of. A relatively small place has been done up in a way one would analogize to life in a palace.

The breakfast buffet, fit for a king. The hosting of the same on the terrace offers a view of the sea that leaves serenity personified.

Interested in a walk to the magnificence of Old Istanbul? Step out of the hotel, and you're in the very heart of the same.

Looking for dining/excursion recommendations? Ask the concierge - you won't be disappointed.

Would I stay there again? The answer, an affirmative within a heartbeat.

It was my first trip to turkey and I was nervous traveling there as a single woman. I am so glad that I picked this hotel--it was in a perfect location (walking distance to all of the historical landmarks AND walking distance to the sea). The breakfast area on the terrace was so quaint with a stones throw view of the water . The staff was so polite and helpful, especially Dogus and memet. Their English was great and they were always too eager to give me information about getting around this positively magical place . I will definately be going back,

The only bad thing I can say is we didn't get to spend enough time here. We were sadly only there for 1 night as we had to travel back to the U.S. the following morning. The hotel is immaculate! The rooms are gorgeous and the location is BEYOND perfect! You are right in the middle of all the sights and right by the tram for other adventures. The breakfast was great and the view was stunning. When booking this hotel one of the things that stood out was Mehmet taking the time to respond to every review. That's just great customer service in my book. Well it didn't disappoint in person either. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and departure. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Istanbul.

Traveling around the world from Italy, Canada, Peru to Thailand--this was by far the best experience we ever had! Hotel is clean, well appointed, beds comfortable, view of the Bosphorous & breakfast amazing! The staff was knowledgable, friendly and went above & beyond every day with great recommendations/suggestions as well as making reservations for us. Walking distance to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cisterns, Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, and several hamams to experience the ultimate Turkish bath! Charming cafe to relax with apple tea or Turkish coffee after a day of site seeing! We enjoyed the hotel, staff and Istanbul so much we extended our stay an extra 4 days. We felt like we were saying goodby to family when we left!

In a busy, exciting and bustling city where it can be tiring running the unrelenting gauntlet of the huge number of traders who target tourists, it was wonderful to stay in a hotel that offered peaceful, personal service and care with a mixture of professionalism, friendliness and good humour. They offered useful ideas and advice and pro-actively took their guests' needs very seriously, always offering help - and usually accompanied by a glass of apple tea. The room was comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious (with impressive views) and the location could not be more perfect. You will be very happy here!
