“dont bother”
Reviewed 12 November 2013

no one but tourists and pushy sales people to be found in this ancient maze of commercialism. considering the size of the place there is almost nothing to buy and the prices are not even good. stay away. so much more to do and enjoy in Istanbul. all of the smaller bazaars are better than this place.

“One of The Musts in istanbul”
Reviewed 12 November 2013 via mobile

Easy to come by public transport fm any part of İstanbul, hundreds of different shops where you can buy anything as souvenier.Of course, you must not forget to bargain for any price as this became a standart application for all considering very high price structure applied by sales staff.

“Interesting, if a little too touristic”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

Despite usually packed with tourists, the Grand Bazaar is a must-see attraction in Istanbul. It's both an interesting place to see a wide range of turkish products as it is a experience of turkish culture and people. You may get lost within this labirinth but I assure you get a way out!

“A must visit place”
Reviewed 9 November 2013 via mobile

It is the largest covered market of the world. It was built by otoman rulers. It has about 5000 shops. All type of products, especially hand made otoman style jewelry and antique style handicrafts are available.Good shopping skill is required for shopping in this bazar.Bargaining is a routine. You should start 30 % of the asking price and most of times you will get in 50% of the asking price.Rates are reasonable.
