one of the most visited attractions in Istanbul and this is why we visited same it is a huge place with plenty of rooms and gardens to see however some parts were closed due to renovation and i found out that the Harem section is better than the remaining parts

This was our first sightseeing stop in Istanbul and it was fabulous. Plan to spend at least 2-3 hours here, to cover all areas. The structures and many domes are amazing. Remember to look up and at the mosaics in various structures at the Palace.

We went on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of people were walking through the beautiful gardens and courtyards.
There is a lot to see, but some major areas are inaccessible due to restoration work. It costs extra to see the harem. The parts we saw were beautiful and sumptuously decorated. However many parts were not open and hoarded up.
Likewise the treasury containing the incredible jewellery was not open.
The armoury was open and a section containing sacred artefacts.
Part of the joy is walking through the beautiful courtyards and enjoying the views. A good place to go if you’d like to sit in beautiful surroundings and just enjoy the scenery.

Maybe I missed something but the only items I saw were clocks. The jewelry room was under renovation. The pieces of the building I saw were quite amazing but it can use more cleaning and lighting. I'm not sure it was worth the entry price (60 l)

You can see outside the best view of Bosporus Straits from Topkapi place. A 60 Lira cost is to go inside you will find Islamic History In the Sacred Chamber. Find Clock Museum. It is a wonderful place. Must Visit

A large beautifully maintained ancient historical site with beautiful buildings and gardens. A really fascinating venue which I have always wanted to see.

An amazing experience of Ottoman splendor - but it is quite obvious when this was built (quite recently), and who it was intended to impress (European royalty). Sometimes the magical geometric artwork is indifferently executed. Very strange, fascinating.

A must in Istanbul! The rooms you can see are very beautiful, the decorations on the walls and ceilings are amazing. You also have a great view for Istanbul

One of the most famous touristic and historical places in Istanbul and in turkey. Located in the heart of Istanbul. You pay fees at entrance but it worth it. Try to buy touristic cards that include visits to many other places. You will save a lot
