“Big Surprise - Travel Books don't do it Justice”
Reviewed 22 December 2011

All of the other "big" sites get their due course in the travel books.. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE. It is very impressive, inexpensive, underground and cool mid-day. 1400 years old with columns, Medusa heads... TIP - Bring a small LED flashlight for viewing the walls, columns....

Reviewed 22 December 2011

Excellent - an impressive bit of engineering; and nice and cool in the summer.

“Take your camera”
Reviewed 21 December 2011

We visited when what must have been the day half of the school population of Istanbul visited. Noise was incredible! If quiet the environment would be stunning.

“What's all the fuss about?”
Reviewed 20 December 2011

Okay, a watery, underground, place. It's cool, and probably worth the half hour it will take you, but not the wondrous event people talk about.
