Let me go straight to the points why I gave a rating of 4 :
1) Breakfast selection was rather limited. But it was very very crowded. They should make an expansion of the breakfast area.
2) I wish the front desk would be more pro-active. They did not explain anything as to internet, breakfast time and place, etc., as if they took it for granted that I knew this. I had ask to get all these information. Didn't really fee the sense of 'welcoming' while checking in.
3) Room next to me was going through some renovations. Absolutely no notice was given to me (it is customary that hotel management puts a notice in surrounding rooms). During day time, I was unable to stay in the room due to such huge noise of renovations.
4) The executive lounge on the 9th floor is poorly attended. I found only one attendant during my 2 hours stay there. When I was entering, the person sitting on the reception desk didn't even bother to look at me, forget about any welcome note / smile. This seems to be an issue that hotel management should take seriously and advise all staff to improve their service attitude.
I stayed in a number of other 5 star hotels in Istanbul, and in my opinion, comparing to those hotels, this one lags way behind in terms of quality of service. The hotel needs immediate attention to...Let me go straight to the points why I gave a rating of 4 :
