“Luxury at a Price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

I spent four days at the hotel; it was a very special experience. I felt well taken care of excellent service and attending to details, from the moment I arrived and was personally greeted to the moment I left.
I would recommend trying the various restaurants very good food and excellent service. The only shortfall it comes at a high price.

Room Tip: For sure look for the rooms overlooking the water its worth it.

The location of the hotel is great. Right by the Bosphorus, no one can fault it. Wish we had more time to enjoy this wonderful city. The only problem we had was with the quality of the service. Food is tasty but service can be improved. Location is a bit far from the old town. You may wish to try the small boats in Besiktas just for the fun of it.

Very special if that's what your looking for. Went for a wedding and the staff were superb as was the good and location. We visited both before and after the wedding and the prices are a bit much and the staff were a bit slow, but the chilled atmosphere was worth it.

I use this venue quite often. Their service level is high end and they successfully keep it there. One down side thing is that the Hotel has always VIP guests as Presidents, PS's, Ministers etc from all over the World and the lobby is full of security people, and nosey. it is not in the hands of the Hotel management therefore nothing to say. Once again the pool on the edge of the Bosphorus is one of kind experience in the World.

Room Tip: Junior suites or Vezir suites facing to Bosphorus.

Pros
The most amazing garden and infinite pool on the bosphorous. Viewing a real palace.
Service is amazing you feel like royalty
Rooms are beautiful, had a roll away bed for my son
There are different restaurants/food options though i expected better quality
Its so beautiful you don't feel like leaving the hotel
its expensive but it is worth it
check in service is amazing

CONS
the pool service wasn't so friendly

Room Tip: ask for a room with bosphorous view. not worth it being there and watching the street

We came for a wedding at the Ciragan Palace, and had an amazing 3 nights. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are comfortable and classy, and lack nothing except irons and ironing boards (my pet peeve is when hotels, especially in this price range, do not have in-room irons. They did provide it when asked, however). We were shown to, and around, the room by Esra, who was lovely and helpful. We used a lot of the facilities and services on offer, including laundry, shoe cleaning, in-room dining etc., all which were top-notch. The only thing was the service in the restaurant/grill - it was at times painfully slow. It really cannot take that long to pour a glass of wine. Luckily, they made up for it with excellent food.

Ciragan is definitely expensive, and so is food and beverage in the hotel - we skipped the EUR 50/pp breakfast and walked the 10 min down to the area around Ortakoy mosque, where there were some great breakfast-places.

Another tip: for getting around Istanbul, where the traffic is horrendous on a good day ,use water taxis! The hotel booked it for us, it picked us up on the pier at the hotel and charged us a mere TL 113 (for max 10 people) to cross over to where the Blue Mosque, Hagiya Sofia etc. is. Saved us a lot of time, and was a great way to travel.

My family and I stayed in Ciragan palace Kempinski when we visited Istanbul. I have to say that it was just amazing. It is the best hotel I have stayed in. I usually get bored in hotels, but this hotel didn't leave me bored at all. It overlooks the bosphorus, and the view is absolutely beautiful. They have these mini swing sets that were just so much fun that my sister and I always lounged in; it was so much fun. In addition to that, the people who worked there were really kind, helpful and welcoming. My sister and I made friends with people from the reception desk and also a girl from guest relations, her name is Betul, and we still keep in touch with her. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Istanbul. It was great, and i'd love to stay there again, should I ever visit.

Also, if you are thinking about renting a private yacht, it will come and pick you up from the hotel.
