A terrific location is the best feature. 5 min walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. Free WiFi and great breakfasts included are also pluses. Friendly helpful staff.
However if bathing a bit later in morning - hot water runs out.

Room Tip: Ensure adequate hot water !

For our first trip to Istanbul, we wanted our hotel choice to be something different than the corporate chains that exist in every large city. We chose the Sultanahmet area because of its proximity to so many of Istanbul’s attractions, as well as convenient tram transportation/connections to the rest of the city.

Seven Hills Hotel could not be better situated for Sultanahmet…literally 2 minutes from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. 3 minutes to Topkapi Palace gate, as well as to the nearest tram stop. By tram, Taksim/Istiklal Street were only 10 minutes away. Uskudar (the Asian side of the Bosphorus) is 10 minutes by tram & Mamaray (traveling under the strait!).

The room was impeccably clean—and kept so during our weeklong visit. The breakfast was consistently displayed with fresh fruits, cheeses, meats, eggs, breads, yogurt (with incredible honey and honeycomb), juices—all enjoyed while taking in one of the best views in Istanbul. While the weather was unseasonably cool during our visit, we were only able to enjoy the rooftop once for drinks.

The staff was warm and welcoming—especially the front desk team—all day/night long.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to any of our friends going to Istanbul—or to anyone looking for a warm welcome, convenient location and very comfortable accommodations.

This hotel was listed as 4 star but was a bit run down. The rooms need updating but were clean. The staff were all friendly. The rooftop terrace was the best part of the hotel and really had amazing views. Overall it was nice enough but having traveled to Istanbul several times there are other properties just as nice or nicer for lower cost.

This is one of the best terraces in Sulthanameth, probably in the entire Istanbul ( with the 360 club across the bridge, on the other side of the city). The rest is a bit overpriced... Rooms are small, food and drinks average quality (better go to the close Palladium) and it is really expensive...... But the terrace definitively worths a visit. Enjoy your time in Istanbul!

The Seven Hills Hotel was in a perfect location in the old city part of Instanbul. We especially enjoyed the rooftop restaurant and bar situated between the Blue Mosque and Ayasofia. It was breathtaking at night and during the call to prayer. They also offered locally made ponchos for warmth which was an added bonus. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Only complaint-sometimes water temp in shower varied.
