This hotel is in the middle of the Sultanahmet. Superb staff, incredibly helpful and I would recommend everyone stay here if they felt their budget stretched to it. I always say Four Seasons have the best hotel beds!

We stayed in the Four Seasons in Istanbul for three nights and found everything to be the usual Four Seasons exceptional standard. The room was spacious and comfortable, with lots of added extras such as DVD player with list of movies, a gorgeous spa bath with TV and nice touches such as fresh fruit and turkish delight delivered daily to the room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and recommended restaurants and organised a private tour for us as well (which was excellent). The breakfast was extensive and delicious and we also ate in the restaurant in the hotel one night which was really nice as well. The only downside of the whole experience was the hotel charging 20 euros for wireless internet in the rooms, which seems excessive considering a lot of other places offer it for free.

There is no doubt the concierge staff at this hotel is among the best. Get to know them fast and use their expert advice and recommendations. Their help is essential for the first time tourist. Special thanks to all for the private tour of the old city highlights. Ask for Seda Karaca from Travelium. She was warm, friendly, humorous, and informative. I have never had a better tour guide; and was elated to skip to the front of the line at all attractions.
The hotel is architecturally significant with elegant decor and rooms with jaw-dropping views. Housekeeping and front desk staff exceptional.
But.....avoid the restaurant and room-service as it was mediocre food at best; but with friendly service. Instead use the concierge for recommendations on many authentic dining experiences within steps of the hotel.
As well, the spa is NOT a spa. It is two lockerooms, two massage rooms and a cramped fitness room that doubles as the spa reception area. And all contained in a not to comfortable subterranean setting. No one was there to greet us so we made do on our own. The hotel massage was no where near the best I've had. Instead go to the local Turkish hamam for an authentic experience.
Lastly, the airport transportation, although comfortable, is not operated by the FS and therefore lackluster in its service. On neither journey to/from the airport would the driver speak to us even though they clearly spoke English. That was a huge disappointment. First impressions are important and a welcome to our city would have been nice.
So it was an almost perfect stay with some hiccups along the way.

Room Tip: upgrade to deluxe category for a better view

This is the largest hotel room I have ever seen in Europe that is not a suite. The bathroom is beautiful with a separate bath tub and shower. Electric window blinds. The most attentive staff who knew me by name. Treats every night when we returned from touring. Welcoming gifts for the kids. A view of the Sea of Marmara in one window with the Hagia Sophia in the other. Five minutes from the Hippodrome/Blue Mosque/Hagia Sofia/Basilical Cistern. Delicious breakfast buffett that was difficult to leave before touring (chocholate croissants that were sinful). Hot cherry tea ready in the lobby when returning from touring in the cold day. The best dinners with authentic Turkish food. My wife wanted a message when we returned from our tour. Within 15 minutes notice, they were ready for her. No, I don't work for the hotel. Yes, it is expensive but well worth it. Simply spectacular. Congratulations Four Seasons! I will always find you.

One of he best hotels I have been. Nice building in the center of old city, near major attractions. Big rooms, excellent service and very kind staff that calls you by your name all the time. I stayed 2 nights at Four Seasons at the Bosphorus and 3 nights at Four Seasons at Sultanahmet and this hotel was even better than the one at the Bosphorus. The only point to remark is that there is no Buffet Breakfast, we have to orther each iten and sometimes it takes some time to be served.and we spent more time in the breakfast then we intended.
